"Well you can't judge all Lasats as the same." "Doesn't that sentiment apply to Imperials?" No, because the Imperials are defined by their beliefs and mostly voluntarily chose to join the Empire despite genocides and war crimes they commit. Nobody "choses" to be a Lasat.
While your statement is technically correct, it should be noted that not all Imperials were genocidal maniacs. Most merely saw their service as part of their duty to their home planet or to the Republic (and now the Empire, which to most of them was little more than its spiritual successor). But you'll find multiple examples in canon and Legends where ordinary Imperials were disapproving of war crimes or total annihilation just for the sake of sending a message. So, no, you can't judge all Imperials as the same either. If that were the case, then Agent Kallus could never have been a valuable asset of the Rebel Alliance and all other Imperials who did not commit atrocities, would have to suffer the same consequences as the ones who did. How is that a fair judgement?
Considering just how vast a galaxy wide empire is, not many would know the extent of the corruption/evil until they reached the top. Most of the Enlisted/Middle management of empire were just normal soldiers just like the armies of today
Most of them are soldiers who probably have no idea of the inner workings of the Empire, not truly. They are not all the same. Of course there is the inner circle who are well aware of the terror spread by the empire, but that would be kind of like comparing a German soldier to an SS officer. They were not the same. ( This comparison seems appropriate as the Empire is based on the N*zi regime)
Does Agent Kallus become Lo San Tekka? At the end of the episode he seemed to doubt his life as an imperial officer. Is Lo San Tekka's beard the same or almost the same as agent Kallus? I've been trying to find a clear shot of Lor San Tekka, but difficult to find.
