- Why bother flying across the world to a tournament when I can just lose to the two most broken DLC characters in the game? I entered another FlyQuest bracket and had a tough time with particular villains.

Bison dealing around 6-7k with just two bars is psychotic.
Don’t worry, to balance his insane damage, he has super good normals, multiple plus frame normals, and one of the best drive rush in the game… wait.
It is. They need to fix that. IMHO SF6 has a high damage issue. Along with the defensive options in the corner is the reason for such high rate of "perfect" rounds.
Let's be a bit more fair here. His only "just two bars" 70% combo that i know is ex devil (don't remember if it requires the corner or not to work though) with the bomb already set up and him being below 25% hp for lvl3 damage boost, and let's be real, if you got hit by ex devil in the first place, that's on you. Pretty much every other of his combos requires more than two bars to be above 60-65%, and it's a damage a lot characters in this game (even zoners like JP) can get due to drive cancel being a thing, ex meter being separated from super meter, and lvl3 damage being way too high and having a 50% scaling cap (in 5, it was also 50%, but supers generally did like 3300-3500 damage (in sf6 numbers) baseline and then got scaled down further by the low hp (guts or whatever) scaling). The difference with bipson is that his second combo (with a bomb) is more damaging because his first combo (which plants a bomb) is generally not as good. Only his craziest corner combos off ex punisher somewhat stand out, but then again, they require all ex, all super and to land a bomb setup beforehand.
Meanwhile, akumer in the corner can hit like 68% (can be extended to ~69.5% if you know it kills) with an impossible to drop even-a-toddler-can-do combo with only two ex moves in it, and his drive recovering to like 4/6 or even 5/6 at the end of it, and he doesn't even require to set up a bomb nor to hit an f'ing devil reverse to do so. Because "he needs it", and "but have you seen the lore"? 🤣
I'm not saying he doens't need nerfs, he does. I just think people overreact a bit about his damage when they see something more specific like him hitting a devils or unscaled ex crusher/ex stomp off a counter near/in the corner with a bomb already set up from the "highlight reel" type videos.

Akuma and bison are the definition of carrying players this season. Why do so much work when you can just play the best
Just always comes back to manon vs top tier problem.
Manon has to burn so much drive and meter for damge and top tiers dont, they can win in two interactions and manon cant.
Manon turns a strike/throw/throw bait situation into a strike/untechable throw situation in which the throw does so much more damage late in the game. She turns oki RPS into oki 50/50 with more reward from the throw option. It's not as bad as people make it seem.

Capcom said during a SF4 interview that they make characters broken on purpose to add variety/flavor to the game. Since the majority of noobs are lames who play Akuma and Bison, they can keep the characters broken without backlash due to "badass" factor (even though playing the best characters in the game is anything but badass).

I love watching SF6 and I had a ton of fun with it in the past, but I just started playing again and oh boy I'm not enjoying the game right now. Half of my matches are the same 2 characters, and it really just feels like "drive rush / throw loop" the game. Still love watching it, but I think I need a major shake up to actually enjoy playing again.
sounds like cap most of my matches have very varied with a lot of cammy and rashid. These two characters have been very overhyped in what a problem they are.

@lampad4549 depends on what rank you're at. I barely fought any Bisons in my climb through Gold because most of them were zooming past Gold from win streaks.

10:06 The character is broken. Even if he has so many plus frame moves, it shouldn’t be plus THAT many frames. Maybe 1 or 2 tops.
Dash into 12 frame heavy is so insane. If heavy bomb-set is done midscreen, he can drive rush and already be prepared to grab/low you already on your wakeup. Headstomp and scissor kick are also belligerent in the neutral... 1k health character despite how much he outclasse everyone else 😂

Bison is the absolute worst thing to happen so far to sf6. Not only is he just comically over tuned but worse yet every bison player is identical.
More than any other character the difference between a diamond 1 and a 2k MR master is mostly imperceptible.
At least like different akumas do different stuff at lower levels.

I wouldn't much say Akuma and Bison is broken but they are very so overly tune much like if not some of the other top tier characters in game Ken, Rashid, Cammy, Guile, Zangief & Ed. (Don't come at me and say that they aren't, I'm not wanting to hear anyone trying to downplay them as.is)

EVERYTHING was plus in SF5 ...
... Now lets go back to SF6, where every special move he has are unsafe on block, except Devil's Reverse and Head Stomp ( in SF6, you have to make his Knee Press safe by spacing it from a distance ... in SF5, you can Knee Press from anywhere and it will still be plus on block ) ... His OD Knee Press is HELL of unsafe on block ( in SF5, it was plus on Block cause it did not have the SF6 knee follow up that launches )... His LP, MP, and HP version of his Psycho are unsafe on block ( in SF5, he only had the one normal Psycho Crusher, and it was safe / plus on block ), and all versions of his BackFist combo are HELL of unsafe on block ...
... So please, tell me ... which version of M.Bison you all would rather deal with ? ... SF6 M.Bison with more unsafe moves ?, and has lost all of his tools from SF5 ? ...
... or ...
SF5 M.Bison with a command grab, every normal plus on block, every special move plus on block, projectiles, projectiles that's plus on block, teleport / teleport dashes faster than the speed of light, a physical attack counter that can absorb projectiles and get tossed back at you ( and the projectile is plus on block ), Bison Zig-Zagging through you from the front and back of you while his EX Psycho Blast is SLOWY traveling towards you FROM BEHIND, a quick faster and safer way to detonate his Psycho mines with his Gravity Squeeze animation, ... and oh yeah, a fully invincible EX Psycho Crusher as a wake-up reversal that he has in SF4 ? ( cause in SF6, he has no fully invincible wake-up reversals, no defense besides level 1 and level 3 ... and his level 2 is trash ) ...
... People on here needs to grow up, stop crying, and just play the damn game ... the game will be more enjoyable if you all just stop crying ... like do you males wear underwear / boxers ? ... or Diapers / pampers ? ... So random that the same nadful of players, especially Japanese are finishing in top 8. So random that iDom consistently cannot replicate his past success. So random, that the same 7-8 characters are on top 8. So random. The game is no SFV or SFIV. People need to let go.

Brother manon is HORRENDOUS. Her drive rush is ass and she has no wake up options besides level 1,2,3 or drive reversal. Most of the cast has at least SOMETHING they can do with less meter that can get them out of a bad situation easily. Annoying if you continuously refuse to jump and eat her command grabs maybe 🙃

yet another streetfighter 6 set where im yet to see a combo drop. game is a repetitive rock paper scissors because there is never a combo drop at high level. everything is baby difficulty. a silver player could do the same combos as strider in that set. drive rush plus frames, guess 😴😴😴
