I picked this up today. I used it on my 11 yr old, she has waist length hair and I put in some chunky two strand twists. I liked the application on her hair, it was very slippery which is helpful on her hair with her length. I plan on using this custard on myself for a wash n go also. Also my hair texture and density look very similar to yours so I’m hoping mine will come out looking as nice as yours did! Thanks for sharing 💙
I always say use a product however your heart desires haha so even though they don't mention wash and go's I think it's perfectly fine. They also don't say to use the strong hold gel for wash and go and I do anyway so 🤷🏽♀️
@@NaturallyNatalie Yeah your right 😂 I got the travel size of the strong hold gel. I haven't tried it yet tho. When I hear custard and strong hold gel I think wash n go so it never occurred to me they wouldn't be marketed that way.
I’ve been on the fence about trying this product since it doesn’t come in the tiny sizes. I like how soft the curl gel leaves my hair but it takes forever to dry and makes my hair look dull. I’m glad that you mentioned that the custard does produce shine. Does it take forever to dry like the curl gel?
It actually dried pretty fast for me especially on the side I didn't use the leave in. I always diffuse my hair though because otherwise my hair takes 18 years to dry 😄
The curl gel was my least favorite too. My hair was so dry the next day. Love the stronghold gel and the styling cream. I’m interested to try this out now. Love your shirt!
I can't compare because they are completely different products. The mane choice gels are pretty unique in texture and consistency, I don't think I've used any others similar to them. The custard is definitely not sticky and does not have the same amount of hold.

@@diamondsandlipgloss ahhhh that makes much more sense haha. Yes the pattern custard does have a very similar consistency as the design essentials custard. The pattern custard doesn't have silicones though which (unless it's been reformulated) the DE one does so for personal preference I would go with pattern. They both give great definition and soft to medium hold
You always pop up with products I want to try. I will be getting this one cause it’s getting really good reviews and I love custards cause I love moisturizing hold. I used eco on top of my curl gel cause I was paranoid lol and ended up with really dry flakey hair but it was very voluminous and defined. I need to give it another go.

I ordered this during black Friday. I hope I like it! I didn't realize it was for twist and braid outs. I'm a wash n go girl so hope it works for me.

how is the pattern beauty custard any different from the gooey mane choice gels, like the gold one from mane choice ?
