Love your work! I want to watch beginning to end (removing from the case, saying OMG, selecting the right tools, blah blah). Your dedication and good heart is fascinating to me. Keep it up! (Retired band director and member of 3 community bands, lol)
I have a French Horn that's mostly in good condition, but two of the valve caps are stuck tight. I've tried a bit of penetrating oil and a lot of elbow grease, but they won't budge! Any advice is welcome!
You took the words right out of my...tuba! I know, right? I cringed when I saw the damage to the Sousaphone he repaired a few videos ago...and was very grateful there's a guy like him out there to repair them! (I played tuba in my high school's marching band ages ago. I'd still be playing one, except tubas aren't exactly convenient to carry around!)
Question: Your repairs are so very labor intensive is it financially worth repairing average or student quality horns other than "setups" and minor repairs??? Just curious..
Wess Lee Music Repair -- ¿Que ocurrió...? ¿Tenía solamente medio metro de película en la cámara...? Habría sido interesante ver todo el proceso de reparación.... ¡¡ y no 30 segundos...!!
Owner of this tuba is schools. That’s what happens when you get four different kids playing times five days a week through the school year , without monthly lubricants on the slides . And that my friends is end result of a pain in the ass to get it out and costly.School kids are our friend to keep us repair techs employed 😉
The last seven seconds were a thing of beauty!
Thanks for reminding me of my Dentist appointment tomorrow....
I learned how to get slide unstuck on one of Wes' videos. Very helpful, and fun to watch. Thank you Mr. Lee.
Love that smooth slide at the end!

Pulling out that slide tub generated some pretty bad tones in the House of Tone.
Hope the owner has learned what it'll take to prevent that from happening again. 🙂
