7:00 wow thanks for sharing the idea behind this. Was thinking the whole time it reminds me of a dive bezel. Kudos to the innovation to include it in the movement.
Your completely unpretentious, but always excellent videos testify to the highest level of expertise as well as great passion for mechanical watches - thank you for that, Alexander!
@@WatchAdvisor Hm, nicht meine Preisklasse, aber wunderschön und aufregend eigenständig. Einen Ticken besser gefällt mir indessen die PF Tonda GMT in Blau.
This is fantastic! I think it would also be useful as a "count-up" feature in addition to the "count-down" demonstrated here. I suppose you could use the 5 minute advance to advance the timer hand 12 times to equal the minute hand and then start "counting up". I wonder if there is a shortcut for this, to simply stop the timing minute hand in place as it currently is. Or I suppose you could advance 1 minute and then start the count up in a minute. Amazing all around!
So the quiet luxury trend has blown up recently and this line got a shout out in a recent hodinkee article or Fratello can’t quite remember. Either way, since the new U.K. King is a Parmigiani wearer interest and awareness of them has really grown. That said hopefully values won’t hold too steady on the secondary market but yeah… just wow. They make a Royal Oak look crass but then that’s a hype piece now and people wearing it for exactly that clout. This is the polar opposite. Great video as always 🙌

Not sure if you have the same impression, but the platina dial looks much better in real life than when filmed. (Had the opportunity to see the flying tourbillon limited edition). This is what I noticed on all videos. Would filming it outside give a more accurate representation? Anyway great video and amazing watches! Looking forward to the upcoming video..
Beautiful watch. As I was watching the video I was thinking how the using pushers was clunky but the more I think about it I think it’s quite different and elegant. Let’s say you want to time 3 minutes to turn a steak push the minute pusher 3 times. You don’t even have to look at the watch. When you flip just push 3 more. If it buzzed your arm when the time was reached that would be really cool.
@@WatchAdvisor @ 3:50 the rose gold hand is not aligned at 6 o'clock (but slightly behind) and @ 6:08 it is not aligned with 12 o'clock (but slightly behind). Zoom on the video and it is even clearer. This happening twice isn’t occurrence but recurrence.
Most likely the watches shown at Watches and Wonders still were prototypes… or have been mishandled before… or… I simply don’t know…. When you buy the watch this for sure will not be the case…
Absolutely fantastic watches. I enjoy my Tonda GT immensely - such a pleasure on the wrist. These new iterations are beautiful and the latest Rattrapante is an elegant complication. However, I do miss the old logo. I know 'PF' fits with the minimalist strategy and some audiences struggled with the name's pronunciation, but the word and logo were beautiful and true to the genius behind the brand. Unpretentious. 'PF' is a little banal: pfff... But a small point and nonetheless, these are exceptional, beautiful watches.
I like everything about the watch apart from the dial, it's just too spartan. Making the indices bigger would help balance it more. Still a lovely watch.
Beautiful, classy and very discreet collection. However, I struggle to see how to justify the CHF 85,000 price tag for the platinum version for a watch without any complication, apart from a date, and CHF 6,000 of platinum at todays prices ($33.90 per gram x 200 grams as not all platinum). Machining may be challenging, but it doesn’t justify the premium over the steel version IMHO. So, unfortunately, once more these special pieces are targeted at the rich and judging by the 12 month waiting list, there are many out there with big money to spend.
Cool watches from Parmigani. They are really fine.

The platinum model with that snowy white dial is truly spectacular

A mechanical "Buzzer" on top would just be hilarious....
Très belles gardes temps, my preferred watchmaker after H moser & Cie.
Thanks for sharing Which are your favorite watches of the two brands?
The platinum watch's clasp was stamped "Stainless steel" at 12:44. I assume this was because it was for demo purposes.
The watch was a prototype…. We should have mentioned it… apologies….
where can I find this white dial? I don`t see it on the website though...:(
parmigiani.com/en/stories/watches-and-wonders-2023/
Nice. Once set, the rose gold hand is not exactly aligned with the hour though. Not nice for a 28-85K watch.
Where exactly did you see this? Some of these "distortions" are not caused by the watches but by the angle we film them....

In other demonstrations, I’ve also witnessed a lot of play in the ratrappante hand as the minutes were being adjusted back and forth.

It is exactly the minimalism people are looking for... less is more in this case...
Very nicely finished watch, but little bit sterile dial for my taste
Looks way nicer in real life, if you have the time, have a look in a boutique, you won’t be disappointed, on the contrary. Truly amazing 🤩

Its a beauty but owning it inflicts huge damage as I 'prefer" buying 2 timepiece instead of 1. 😂
