I like the King James version too! I commend Andrew for standing firm and not conforming to the world like so many others do. It takes courage to take a stand and speak the truth. Whenever Andrew says I'll probably get hate mail for this - he's saying something that needs to be said. Carrie Pickett is an angel from heaven. What a wonderful person - I have the highest respect for all she has done.

Hello, Susan! Andrew does not normally speak about the End Times, but we can share with you some of his commentary on the beast and the false prophet. One passage that you may want to study is Revelation 13. Here are some of Andrew's notes on this chapter:
      Rev. 13: 1-2 (KJV)
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
      "Note on Revelation 13:1:
The seven heads and ten horns of this beast are explained in Revelation 17:7-12. The seven heads are seven mountains (Revelation 17:9) with seven kings (Revelation 17:10). Five of the seven kings ruled prior to John’s vision, one was ruling at the time of John’s writing, and one was yet to come (Revelation 17:10). Then the beast of Revelation 13:1-4 was the eighth king (Revelation 17:11). The ten horns are ten kings who will reign with the beast and give their support to the beast (Revelation 17:12).
      Note on Revelation 13:2:
Satan, the dragon (Revelation 12:9), was behind this beast and his kingdom. The kingdom of this beast is not ordained of God. Therefore, all that this chapter says that the beast will do is what Satan has empowered him to do. Satan has never done anything perfectly yet, and this kingdom will not be able to perform all that Satan wants him to do either. People will resist and overcome the beast. See my note at Revelation 15:2."

I Have a genuine query, I like Andrew and his teaching and it has been an awesome help to me but... I listened to Andrew in another and different youTube video from this one and he said that God won't rebuke now (relying on a promise in Isaiah) but it also says that God chastises those who he loves..... are these not contradictory? I'm not out to be difficult I genuinely want to reconcile these different points

Hi Stephen, I looked up what you wrote about in my Strong's Concordance. In Isaiah 25:8 it says, "...the rebuke of His people shall He take away ..." Here rebuke is the Hebrew word cherpah, which means disgrace, and/or shame. God takes away their shame. Heb 12:6, "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth," the Greek word for chasteneth (I used KJV since that was what Andrew said he liked in this Bible study) is paideno, which means to train up a child, educate. As for the scougeth, which in the Greek means to flog, or scourge, yikes, that does sound bad, but if we go back to Prov 13:24, "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes." It teaches that corporal punishment, spanking, is good for a child. Our culture, the PC police, don't like this idea, but it is one that has existed from ancient times. I was taught this verse means that we still sin and God sets us straight and will teach us a lesson so we don't keep sinning and hurting ourselves. Like saying no and slapping the hand of a toddler, or spanking them when they are reaching out to touch a hot burner on a stove. The parent knows that the child really needs to learn that this is a bad thing to do for their own protection, because a burnt hand will be far worse than a spanking. One also has to think about ideoms of the Biblical times. Obviously they did not beat the children they loved with whips or hard rods that would damage them, but maybe a switch from a tree branch or something that would sting but not damage the child. I hope that helps. Blessing.

I have a question which I'm asking others about in order to get as many data points of truth as possible, so I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this .
My understanding is the KJV/NKJV is based on parts of the Latin Vulgate written by Jerome. There are articles, etc. that say that the Latin Vulgate has mistranslated many words in the original Greek manuscripts in order to "control" the catholic masses, but if the KJV/NKJV is also influenced by the Latin Vulgate, that may explain the widespread "conditional salvation" and "hell" doctrine preached in most evangelical denominations, if not most christian denominations. What's your thoughts, and which English translation do you feel most closely mirrors the original manuscripts written in Greek both in terms of word-for-word and though-for thought?
    Thank you
    Peace

Hello, Ni Stan! Andrew uses the King James Version of the Bible. He doesn't usually address the subject of translations but he has mentioned that some are better than others.
Most modern translations use a different Greek text than the King James translators used, thus there are differences.
We recommend that you compare versions as you study so as to not miss anything. A good concordance, such as the Strong’s, is helpful for learning the meaning of Greek and Hebrew words.
We hope this helps! God bless you, Ni Stan! -AWMI Team

    Christ died for our sins.
The Lord Jesus Christ says, 'Open the door, I will never leave you.'
Ask Him to come into your heart.
(He comes in by His Spirit).
He promises, 'I will never leave you.'

In Ontario, our 'free health care' system has gone the evil step from assisted suicide to euthanasia. I am going to die healthy and quickly at a ripe old age praise God, but how does the born again believer reconcile with the idea that euthanasia is murder, like assisted suicide, abortion? Even if I am the one being murdered, I feel somewhat responsible for their actions of murder.

Wow that statistics on the compilation of the bible is too physical that some may start focusing on the left out %. The richness of the word effect on us is in just taking the word of God as TRUTH because He is the the word and if you hear something WRONG it won't go past the second hearing because the holy spirit won't let it in the meditation. The TWO hearings Romans 10:17 , are the guard of what we recieve.. Amen
