I think airborn should have a rework. They should be dropped from a airplane by parachute instead of only forward deployed at the beginning. It would open up a totally new type of game play. It would be more realistic. And it will bring so much more strategic possibility. There should also be a possibility of airdropping supplies by parachute. Just remove forward deployment completely and ad the possibility to select a transport plane to bring them in game and/or helicopters.
I know some people feel that way. They did look into paratroops early on but I don't think it panned out. Regardless I don't expect there to be any changes to the system now. Perhaps in their next game though?
That helped a lot coming from Ware Game Red dragon! Could you make a video on the purpose of the different divisions or am I missing an explanation in the game? Also would you mind sharing the deck you showed to play around with?
To your first question regarding divisions that's in one sense hard to answer. Technically they all do a bit of everything. Think of them as specialisations from WRD. Aka the US have armoured div, infantry div and airborne div.... But they all kinda cover all bases.... But are stronger in some tabs than others. The division/deck from that video wont do you much good as they added snipers and that deck is not updated for that patch. If you are still interested I can get you a deck code for something I updated tomorrow.
@@BigDaddyLikesCookies Be warned my decks are for fun team games rather than for 1v1/ranked. But here is my current 82nd Airborne: FBFwaQS0X4AEGQAIY4AJt4e5ksEJkwe5nkEJnkEFgAe4xQe9kkEJksEJnMEFqEEEmIAIDgAJqoANqgAJqYAEEAAIGoAJnYe1qwAJq4e5owe42IAI2IAIF4AI4oAI4oAJmIAE5gAE4AAE5IAGUAALIIewgA==
I've noticed that when I place units in the initial deployment phase, if I place units using platoons, after a couple, sometimes even the first one, my earlier placements get deleted. This is especially crippling to decks with a lot of low-cost units. Each new one I place deletes a previously placed unit or set of units, in seemingly random assortments. Sometimes it won't delete the whole stack. For example, I'll place a full infantry platoon with three 4-stacks. When I place the next platoon, whatever it is, the game removes 2 units from each of two stacks in the first platoon. I assume it's a feature rather than a bug, but why does it happen?
Sorry I have never used the feature where you make groups of multiple units myself. It does seem strange. I suggest asking over on the official Eugen discord. See if others have had that experience. And if not you could report it to them as a bug.

@@Bandanner Ya, probably not. But someone can hope. Ruse had paratroopers. I did some nice plays with them, dropping them in strategic places.
@benanders4412 very fun game indeed! May possibly have bought a steam key for $150😅

@@Bandanner ah ok thanks that clarifies things!
Ah ok I see. Yes I would love to give an updated deck a run!

@@Bandanner Yeah this is what I play most of the times anyway :) Nice Thanks! Is this the already updated one?
@@BigDaddyLikesCookies Yes, because it has snipers in it ;)
