Thank you! I just accidentally unbraided my favourite "magic braid" bracelet that I bought several years back; thanx to you I could braid it together again :-) And maybe start making some of my own!
+Alva Curtsdotter Awesome! So glad to hear you were able to fix your bracelet :) And yes! Try making some of your own, you'll love it! Thanks so much for visiting!
I wondered know how to make these ever since we sold them at a gift shop I worked at. Thanks for the great instructions! I've got some faux leather fabric I picked up at a thrift store quite a while back. It has a fabric backing attached to it, so it'll be thick enough I'm sure. I'm going to try making one out of it! Thanks again for the awesome video!
Thanks!! Hopefully it's at least 1 m thick. If not, I was thinking I could cut twice the width I want and fold over and glue so seam is on the bottom ( middle of the underside) of bracelet.
Love the idea of reclaiming leather! I have an old leather jacket that my cat accidentally scratched when he jumped on my shoulder. It is very soft lamb skin. Would this be sturdy enough for making bracelets?
oldladytoofast I would think so, as long as it's at least 1mm thick without the lining. If not and you still want to use it, you could attach a fabric backing to the strip (using fabric glue) before cutting and braiding it.
What a great teaching tutorial. Thank you for going slow enough for everyone to learn.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello :)
