Hands down the best of the Nordic Noir detective series; I was hooked immediately from the beginning. Also, the intro song (Hollow Talk) fits perfectly with the feel/look of the series. Tremendous acting by all and great character building. I binge this a few times a year.
So poignant and emotional. The way she didn't even flinch or pause when she had to only say "Sagan Noren" on the phone shows how much she can compartmentalise. I don't think I've loved a fictional character more than I have Saga Noren. She really impacted me. Phenomenal acting.
Just saw the fineale os Bron/Broen fourth season broadcasted here in Italy...what to say, perfect show, perfect ending, with a memorable and iconic character...farewell, Saga Norén, may you embrace a fulfilled life once you fought and won all your demons...great, great acting by Sofia Helin and chapeau to writer and creator Hans Rosenfeldt...definitely one of the best show I have ever seen (and I've seen many!)...happy and sad at the same time, smile and tears, only with Bron/Broen...
I didn't expect that ending... Always thought it would end extremely grim for everyone involved... Honestly thought she was going to jump... What a perfect show.
In the end, it was a symbolic sacrifice, as she consigned her identity as a police officer to the drink, and became someone else. Someone that she could have been - if her mother hadn't damaged her life and her sister's. I was left with the feeling that I wanted to find out what Saga Noren would be next.
She just stands on the bridge and looks into the sea, and yet there is a lot of acting going on! Sofia is tremendous! She knocked this role out of the park! All the subtle muscle movements and mannerisms. And that bridge almost floating in a sea of fog. So evocative, so spectacular!
We watched The Bridge on Flix the last couple of weeks. Definetly one of the best series I watched in the last ten years. Many thanks to the creators and actors, especially Sofia Helin, at this point. Really enjoyed it, happy we found it and sad it is over. Fantastic and touching ending, worth watching again.

The writing, the cinematography, the acting was incredible. However by far Sofia Helen shone the brightest. Saga Noren is probably up there with one of greatest characters of all time.

And it ended with a parting shot of the world getting up to get on with their day, a world made safe by Saga and Henrik and Lilian, and all of the team. Beautiful energy to end the series with.

Hi! Hopefully theres anyone who can help me out. For years I’ve been a fan of the bridge series. There’s a song repeatedly In every season, mostly when people die. For example in season 4 ep 4, when a man kills his own daughter by injecting some kind of poison. It’s an opera kind of song which reminds me of “Ave Maria” I’ve searched trough the internet but without any results. Hopefully there’s someone who reads this and knows the song. Thanks in advance !!
I can't find it either. I've also searched for a classical piece which is used when Pernille commits suicide in the final episode of Series 2 and again I think when Henrik's daughter is discovered and freed towards the end of Series 4.
