    Thanks a ton for the video and feedback! The whole team enjoyed watching it!
    You pointed out some important issues, and we will fix them!
    Regarding the replacement: if built-in apps do the same thing, we will look for ways to stand out. We actually have some ideas already, but we're not revealing them yet :)

    I've seen sooooo many bad channels with LTD's. This is not one of them. Great content and completely agree on your evaluation on Letterly (using it daily).

    Nice video.
    Can you add the app to the Lock Screen and start/stop it without unlocking your phone?

      Not on android, unsure for ios :)

    • @dave-swift

      They have a widget. Could be possible in iOS 18.

    • @Letterlyai

      Yes, you can on iOS! We're working on it for Android too, coming soon!

    Thanks. Interesting.
    Hi developers, do you listen to the comments here? Those two limitations will probably prevent me from buying:
    1) Not possible for desktop (And cell phone plus destkop (if it will be available somewhen) should be included in Tier1).
    2) 15 minutes limitation. Thats not enough.

      Thanks for commenting and echoing my suggestions. 👍

      Got it! Thank you so much for the feedback :)
      1) We're working on the web version, coming soon. However, for the AppSumo deal (which we think is unprecedentedly cheap), you'll need to choose a tier based on devices. Tier 1 is suitable for those planning to use it on just one device. Sorry about that, but otherwise, it simply wasn't feasible for us! :(
      2) We're targeting users who use apps for notes, social media posts, messages, and journaling, and from our user interactions, we know 15-min limit covers most needs. If you find yourself needing more than 15 minutes, you're probably interested in meetings. Unfortunately, we're not focusing on that segment right now because we want to offer the best experience possible! We may expand our focus in the future, but for now, to truly excel as an app, we're staying within these boundaries.

      @@Letterlyai Thanks for the comprehensive answer (Although it is not exactly as I would have wished content-wise. But well, thats life :))

      @@dave-swift Since Letterly wants to stick with the 15 minutes limit (see their answer below) I did some research. And it seems there is an offer at Appsumo right now without this limit, and also more competetive pricewise.
      You may want to check this out: "Wiz Write".
      If some readers here may understand German they may want to watch today's review by "Robert Leitinger's" channel (I am not sure whether I would be allowed to give a link here).
      As far as I can see from this review Wiz Write may probably be a significantly better choice for a lot of people, given that Letterly sticks to the 15 minutes limit and also given the fact that they want to sell higher tiers if you want to use it on desktop and smartphone parallel (Wiz Write, according to the mentioned German review, will come up with an phone app shortly, but it seems to be usable already in any web browser on the phone).

    Will it be possible to just repurpose various TH-cam Video content into blog posts or social media content just by playing the youtube video for the App...or will it be my voiceover only...?

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Haha, I just tested this by playing a podcast through my phone’s speaker while recording letterly and it worked.
      This is certainly not the most efficient way to do this, but I guess it works 🤷

      @@dave-swift Awesome....I might just buy it for this only...not very efficient but for $59...gets me unlimited youtube videos into repurposed content...

      haha do it! Let me know how it goes.

    • @Letterlyai
      @Letterlyai 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there! Honestly, Letterly might not be ideal for that because you have to record the whole video. There are services that let you just drop a video link and get a transcript. But if you're already watching the podcast anyway, adding Letterly alongside isn't too difficult! If that works for you, we're happy! :)

    Thanks for the video. As paying ChatGPT user I don't really see the benefit besides the ease of use to rewrite. Am I missing something?

    • @Letterlyai
      @Letterlyai 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You know, it’s like going to the cinema instead of watching a film on your laptop. There’s a reason we still go to cinemas :))
      We just want to offer a better experience for writing notes, messages, social media posts, or journaling. Our app provides a lot of cool features for this: a convenient note format (not just a chat), an awesome UX (easily switch between different versions of text, as Dave showed in the video), the ability to record offline and with the screen off (again, as Dave showed), and ready-to-use rewrite options. It’s not just about asking "ChatGPT, structure my text." We’re actually testing, involving linguists and prompt engineers to make the text as good as AI can get it right now.
      We aim to preserve your thoughts and maintain your tone. So, just give it a try, there’s a free trial period, and we hope you’ll see the value! :)

      Someone asked this in the facebook group yesterday (facebook.com/groups/daveswift/posts/7910564285645214/).
      Here was my reply:
      I mean, obviously ChatGPT Plus can do darn near anything.
      Letterly is focused on a particular task.
      Like do you need a grill, if you can cook steak in the oven?
      If it's worth it to you, it's pretty reasonably priced ($59/once) for lifetime access, vs. $20/month for ChatGPT Plus.
      As I mention in the video, I'm personally leaning towards this being a feature built into iOS and MacOS, so I would probably not spend more than $59 on this product (e.g. I wouldn't buy 10 devices for my whole team).
