Pete Duel was a very talented actor. Loved his character in Alias Smith and Jones. I never watched the show again after Pete died. Nobody could replace him.
God he was so handsome then and he would still fit right in today in 2020 could have been a star now too those dimples and that smile just draws me in just as fast now at 55 as it did when I was 6 an Alias Smith and Jones was my favorite show he was my first crush him my first ❤️ as a girl God he was so Damm handsome young an drop dead gorgeous I can't believe he just pulled the trigger that ended his life he had the world at his finger tips literally great career why???????? I was just a kid and the news came across the radio while my mother and I were on a trip to Florida. Despite all the years, I remember being so devastated at the news. I loved Alias Smith & Jones despite not caring for Westerns. It rose above the rest due to the great stories and the performances. So sad that we lost him so young.
He probably would have been happier living a simple life with a wife and children of his own. He looks so happy in family photos. Miss you , may friend. 💔
I remember the change of actor which as we know was the end of the show as Duel made it what it was. Wonderful childhood memories of watching the show. Very sad he felt that was the only way out 😥

This guy had great things ahead of him. He was a special kinda guy. You could feel it when he was playing a role. I think the car accident played hard on his mind. It was probably a number of things. Its a damn shame.

His talent cut a firm, relax, confident statement - His essence spoke of the days in era - a scent of patchouli - His features spoke of a flexible adaptable actor - willing and able to master the role in most any social venuem, yet the clear reality of him shone through - He being so very a picture of 1970 - as if to grace a poster - yet only those whom were there can truly know the story with taste, smell, and feelings - Quite dark, yet anticipatedly exciting, brilliance of youth, draw of unknown, emitting a sexy splendor - He speaks even today, of "that man" in "that time" and it provokes an excitement clouded in wonder - May his soul be forever blessed with the most positive energy, Peace, and happiness -
Well I had no idea about this actor. I am watching Chism and thought boy that one actor Is handsome, so I googled him and saw he also has a brother Pete who acts also. Very sad story, looks like he could of done lots of amazing roles.
He walked in the bedroom said to his girlfriend I will see you later she said OK he walked in the living room put a gun to his head pulled the trigger he was 32 1971...very sad he was a very nice bloke...
