The sequel is actually three episodes of a short lived TV series called "Team Atlantis" which were smashed together to become Milo's Return after the series was scrapped after those episodes were completed, this was due in part to the so so box office performance of the original film. It's much the same as what happened with Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World prior and Cinderella II: Dreams Come True around the same time, both were features that had been strung together from three (or four in the case of Belle's Magical World's later re release in 2002 alongside the original BATB's Platinum Edition VHS/DVD) episodes of TV series for the two respective properties that were cancelled early in production. They just took the episodes which had already been completed and made DTV films out of them.
I notice that the discs in these 2-Movie Collection sets have the same discs but it's the art work on the front case is different. Nothing wrong by using the same discs but the different front art work.
I know that this is an old video but I hate how some of the Disney 2 movie collections are the only ways you can get the first movie on Blu-ray in the US/Canada. The only times where the second movie was good in one of these "you can only get this on Blu-ray with the sequel" type of packs were Fantasia 2000, The Rescuers Down Under, Shanghai Knights, and the Muppets "Of Pirates and Pigs Collection". Edit: Also they should put the movies on separate discs on Blu-rays as well. The only time where both the Blu-rays and DVDs were separate in one of these collections was the Fantasia set. Edit 2: I forgot about the Saludos Amigos/Three Caballeros DMC exclusive 2 pack.
well thats lazy as fuck. the 2013 pressing is an improvement over the dvd for the first movie, but it still could have been a lot better and disney had 8 years to improve between that release and this one and they did nothing but put new box art on it. there is a lot of room for improvement and we're not even going to talk about how laughably bad the "sequel" is.
