These machines to me are nightmare fuel. Mainly because I do carpet cleaning for a living, and these machines are just bad. Not because they dont work, which they have mixed results, But the cleaner that usually goes into them tend to leave stains, or they use what are called FBA [fluorescent brightening agents] or optical brightening agents (OBAs) which are glorified bleach which only heightens colors, and can cause extensive damag the actual colors inside the fabric, which is usually plastics, (in carpet at least) which I feel could be a problem with fur-suits as well. Some of them, which can actually pull out the colors from the fabric. There are some things that you learn with these things. Personally I probably wouldn't use my machines on my fursuit because, well, they tend to use heat to help clean fabrics, along with a very strong vacuum, about three times of a shop-vacc or more. Just, well, I dont want everyone to use this kind of machine because it CAN, not will. But CAN leave fur with a yellow tinge, or worse could pull the color out of the fur itself (Depending on how it was manufactured) But Usually, I believe that fur is extruded, and not colored after the fact, so MOST fur should be fine, just there is always the option that something like this can happen. ALSO if you are going to use a machine like this I would HIGHLY recommend washing your suit anyways afterwords, just because there can be trace chemicals left over, as they are intended to be in somewhat in contact with a human, but with a fursuit, well, its kinda a bag of worms I feel. Hopefully someone can give some insight to this, or can gain some from it, I dont mean to take away from your video Pocari, just coming from the industry that usually has to clean up after people ruin their stuff with machines like this, well, you tend to learn a lot about them.
Thank you for the insight! This is pretty much why I tested on a pillow and my handpaw first (after cycling an entire tank of water through to make sure there was no dangerous residue in there already), if there was any sign of trace chemicals or new stains I wouldn't have used it on my head. This machine specifically has been used by other people on fursuit heads before with great results, which is what prompted me to give it a try. I wouldn't use just any carpet cleaner! Definitely have to be careful not to use one that generates heat either. Always test, always get multiple opinions!
@@PocariRoo Very true! Something we have to do with our professional chemicals xD Even if the machine does have heat, make sure it is off. I'd love to have good news about using a machine like this, but I dont have anything really good to say. Just because I've had to fix what problems people have made with them xD So I guess I get to see the worst of them. My only recommendation would be to look at the bottle and make sure it doesn't have anything like the FBA's or OBA's, which are the big things. Same thing with chemicals like Resolve. Do not use that. Ever. It leaves a foamy residue even when it is washed several times. With my experience at least. I certainly hope there are good things that come from people seeing this! Hopefully it works for people! Just wanted to make sure people know about the risks that might come from using them.
@@Alphaace14 What about safety? Because I just got one used (they said it was used only 2 times), and I only used it for about 5 minutes and suddenly it got hot and it looked like it caught on fire on the inside (orange light through the plastic), and after I quickly took the power off it smelled very burned.
Although Pocari's colors weren't lightened in this clean, imagine how nice and bright he'd be if you cleaned him regularly with one of those from the get go! He'd probably be pretty new looking if you asked me. Definitely something anyone with a fursuit they wear often should invest in, I'd think.
I think this machine you got dose come in handy for cleaning fursuits. But I think that it would be more useful on my umbreon suit than Bruzo. Because my head for bruzo is both resin and even though he’s not airbrushed, it concerns me that the resin blank is painted. Including the horns.
Hi miss roo! I’ve been watching these little videos for quite some time and it has actually taught me a lot about the fandom and has even inspired me to make my own suit! Thanks again for the super informative content
very useful! im building my first fursuit right now. i was scared when i have to wash it eventually, itll ruin the eyes. but this seems like a very safe and easy way for cleaning a fursuit head! much thanks
I want to leave this comment because i want to show you (if you even see this) how much i appreciate your channel! As a young furry (im 12) i highly needed help with knowing what to not do and what to do. And i see your opinions as really helpful. So i just wanted to say, thank you for all the support you have towards your followers. And that your doing such a great job on your channel.
This thing is definitely my cleaning choice I use all the time. As a maker I own upwards of 20 suits, and this cuts cleaning time down sooo much. It cuts drying time down too if you suck enough water out.
1:44 as Pocari moves the head out of the way and the vacuum into the spotlight, the head just rolls over. That is like me all the time at school and the vacuum is the “popular kids”
If you want the fur even softer, add one tbsp (JUST ONE) of liquid fabric softener. You definitely need to do a rinse after, like you did this time though. A great way to cut any static on the fur is a quick rub down with a softener sheet (it also makes it smell really nice!) He looks so much better, it's like he got a hair wash & style at a salon :D
i am a young fur (14) and just getting into the fandom. you are the first furry channel i've subscribed to and i love your videos! your energy is so infectious and you always put a smile on my face! keep up the amazing work!
You can also use the Little Green to clean in the inside of the head as well! I do that with my suits especially because that's where all your face gunk goes, so it REALLY comes in handy with that. Just gotta be careful not to get the eyes and make sure you go over it with water, getting all that soap out. It DEFINITELY makes a difference when you suit, feels and smells much fresher :)
Rn I’m at Anthrocon 2019! My first con. You, Majira, and etc have made me a furry! I have come out to my family and they are proud of me for having a hobby, I am saving up for a fursuit! Ahshsh thank you so much for making this, i was thinking about getting one of these for my suits, but i couldn't remember what type i saw people recommend
When I get a new head I need that it’s nice to know it’s safe for heads (I don’t like airbrush suits so that’s fine) now I won’t have to worry about my suit getting damaged while being washed
so glad i watched this video lol. i wanna make a head and it’ll probably be non-submergible so this is a life saver. although, if i can, i will look for tutorials on how to make a submergible head (but i’ll probably still use that because i NEED THE LONGEVITY AND CLEANLINESS OF MY FUTURE HEAD)

Pawsome video Pocari! Keep up the good work and it’s very good that you got the chance to clean the 5 year old Pocari Roo lots of crap collected in the head for years is finally gone yay! 💙💙💙💙💙
Didn't even think of using one of those on a fursuit. Given the suit I want to make will be largely white fur, I may have a new second use for mine XD. I got mine to take care of spot stains on the carpet, and it too doesn't have a heating element and works just the same.

Thank you so much for this video! It was very informative. I actually just bought myself a Little Green machine so I'm excited for Ace and I to try it on our fursuit heads :3
what about resin heads? i know this a weird question. I have a raptor head that is full on resin, and I don't want the springs to rust when it gets wet.
