Dude! I just moved to Dyersburg and watched this trial. Just talked with a woman who lives by where the body was found. Walks the road most days. The body was missing for 6 weeks! They didn't put that info out. No way a body is going to sit for 6 weeks and not decomp. and smell up the whole area. No way the animals aren't going to get at it. She stated many people know who is likely involved and it isn't just David. Homegirl upset the wrong wife.

Why do people think it’s better to murder a spouse than divorce them??? Is it really about the $$$? No thoughts about the kids losing both parents? Didn’t watch the case, but sounds like prosecution wasn’t ready, again!

The slashed tire seems to automatically make it premeditated, so how can there be any conviction without premeditation. If he were convicted, the jury would have to believe her tire was accidentally slashed or that he purposely slashed the tire, but with no intention to kill at that point. I guess that's possible.

Yes, the prosecutor should have brought charges against David Swift years ago, and exactly when the murder took place period however, a decade later, and Mrs Swift family, like her parents, her siblings, if she has any siblings or nieces and nephews, her family has not received Justice for their loved one. Also, there hasn't been Justice for Mrs Swift's children. Regardless of whether or not David Swift is guilty of a crime, that his son Mayfield that his father is innocent of the murder of his mother, but they're still there needs to be Justice for Mrs Swift's son as well in order that either way he is able what to mentally and emotionally go forward in his life even though, David Swift's son seals that his father is innocent, but there is an uncertainty with his son, but all children wants to believe that their parent or parents are innocent of a crime, especially in this case. There needs to be a conclusion, a definite conclusion of whether or not this young man's father is innocent of manslaughter or regardless of the jury's decisions that they made in regards to first-degree premeditated murder / second-degree murder, but still all of the investigators in the cold cases Department needs to go back and recheck all of the evidence, because the original investigators whom were called to the scene of the murder of Mrs Swift, they all could have made some mistakes, that probably some of the evidence was smudged or misplaced somewhere or even though, by now some of the witnesses may have passed away, but there has to be many more witnesses that may know something about this case that the original investigators did not interview or even, persons may have been afraid to come forward with their knowledge of the murder of Mrs Swift. There needs to be an adequate conclusion, and concrete Justice for Mrs Swift's family, her parents, any siblings / niece and nephews or cousins / Anson uncle's. There needs to be concrete Justice be given to Mrs Swift's family. Also, her and Davis Swift's son leads to have concrete proof of either way of his father's innocent or guilt, not guess work come but their son needs to have closure of his mother's death. Mr Swift needs to be kept in jail on manslaughter charge, to at least, for current investigators in today's time to be able to go back and do a thorough check, and to figure out what may have been overlooked from the first original investigators 11 years ago may have overlooked, and sailed to thoroughly investigate the death of Mrs Swift
