There are some ingredients that automatically make me interested in a skin care product: cactus, mushrooms, algae, mugwort, snail spit, and anything that has been fermented. I have no clue why these appeal so much to me, but I really enjoyed your suggestions, especially your first recommendation, an essence I had not heard of prior to this video, so I thank you. I have super dry skin as well as acne, essences and toners are my favorite skin care products, other than spf. Noticed early on that slapping on a thick cream claiming to hydrate dry skin doesn't give me the moisture I need, the essences and toners were absolutely a required item for my skin, even to get a thick moisturizer to become a useful product in my routine.

Yeah! I’ve noticed things with cactus in it seem to work well for me. I have rosacea and it doesn’t seem to bother it
Though some dermatologist and skin fanatics say that toner and essence is not a crucial step in a skin care routine if you want to have a basic routine but I still believe that tonner and essence makes the routine better by making the next product that one applies soak in better.

I just love Essences. I have oily combination skin, but it gets a bit dehydrated in the Winter. Rather than changing my moisturiser for a heavier one (which feels horrible on my skin), I layer essences, which makes all the difference. I love the I'm From Rice toner and the Laneige Cream Skin refiner. I am currently also using the Some By Mi Propolis toner - which is just lovely.

I loooove the lotion like layer that laneige leaves on my skin! I have super sensitive/reactive oily, combo (probably dehydrated) skin. So far it's the only thing that calms my skin after I'm too aggressive with treatments, tretinoin, or new products my skin doesn't like

Love this video, Soo. You've given me a few products to try. My favourites so far are the Cosrx Propolis Synergy Toner, the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner and the Purito Centella Unscented Toner. Oh and the Solid In Essence is exactly what I needed in my skincare routine. That one feels so good on my skin.

Well unnie thank you for posting such amazing contents. It's really gonna help many choose the right product for their skintype. I have been trying product recommendations from you for a while now and it works so well for me. The laneige cream skin is a must for me during winters like it literally lives up to everyone's expectations. Also the I'm from mugwort essence is my holy grail like hands down the best essence for calming my irritated and inflamed skin💋🙌 I also tried other calming and soothing products but it wasn't that satisfying as the I'm from mugwort ranges tho my skin seems to be compatible with any ingredients except for like high concentrate vit-C, propolis Or anything to do with snail's. All these ingredients just seem to irritate my skin🥺😟
Nevertheless I'm really excited to check out your other recommendations... If soo hypes about it. Its definitely worth my evey penny😆☺😘

Hi Soo, catching up on your videos. My mum has been hospitalised twice for about 30 days since May. I am into my 7th bottle of Isntree Green Tea toner, that's a huge deal since I have so many toners/essences to go through. I prefer the Dr Ceuracle kombucha essence, having tried I'm From and Laneige. I love it so much that I don't even want to go back to the backup I'm From that I have purchased, I don't want to try Thank You Farmer and even though I have already bought a backup, I continue to shop for an offer for the 3rd bottle. You have tempted me to try the Huxley. Between Missha and I'm From Artemisia essences, I probably prefer Missha. One of these days, I want to try Rovectin Lotus water and cream, there are always at the back of my mind, the kind of skincare that I kept hearing good reviews but never get to them. Thank you, so nice to be watching your videos again, it also means my mum is well again. And congratulations on the 300k sub milestone!
I have been following u for a couple of years now, really love ur content! Essences and toners are my favorite step of my skincare routine, I have missha, isntree, cosrx, heartleaf I use either Goodal or abib, rovectin... and I'm in love with all of these. I'll surely try the others, my favorite toner still remains the I'm from rice toner.. pls do review it sometime! Love all the way from Mumbai, India! Hey Soo, I know you mentioned Laneige cream skin refiner but Dr Ceuracle kombucha tea essence is just amazing! I’ve tried Laneige, I’m from rice toner and Thank you farmer rice toner and none of them is like that! It’s the best milky toner/essence I’ve ever tried!
Would you recommend it over the laneige one for dry skin?
@@DahliaRosegz they’re both good products but the Laneige one leaves that heavy and sticky feeling I don’t particularly appreciate. If I eere you, I’d give Dr. Ceuracle a try! 😉

Toners/Essences/Mists are my favorite in the routine. I know these aren't needed but I NEED them in my routine.
I ❤❤❤❤ the Laneige cream skin refiner. My skin just drinks it up. I tried the mini version first and fell in love with it. The I'm From mugwort essence is amazing.
I have purchased the I'm From rice toner and Dr. Ceuracle vegan kombucha tea essence to see if my skin drink those up as well.
I am going to want some advice in the future what to get in Korea for skincare when I am a flight attendant! 😊 or which of the products are more affordable over there.
i instantly feel relieved when you mentioned the 1st 3 toners because i've tried them (dunno why lol). I also have back ups for Laneige Cream Skin because i like using it whenever i want to skip some steps in the morning (i'm so layzeh 😆) or i want extra hydration for my combination to dry skin. i also love the Missha Artemisia because I'm From is too expensive in my country so i searched the alternative to get a mugwort toner. It calmed my redness skin and the formula isn't too greasy and absorbed quite well. But somehow, i can't find it anywhere on my local online stores that's why i don't have any back up in my storage ☹Maybe it's due to their new packaging, idk. Also, the Cosrx Propolis, i bought the travel size and i'm glad that you put it on calming section because that toner isn't noutrishing enough for me. I need to layer it 2-3 times until i get the level hydrating that i want, lol. i think it's more suitable for combination to oily skin.
I currently use Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha (love it) and Pyunkang Yul (so so, glad that i only bought the travel size) for hydrating and Acwell Licorice (love it) and Missha Vita C Plus (been using it only for 4 days lol) for exfoliating.
also i have already have products that i will try after i finish all above : Blithe vital treatment 8 Nourishing Beans (i know it's late, but well 😂), Real Barrier Extreme Essence, Isntree Chestnut BHA 2% and Peerrrriiittttoooo AHA BHA Refreshing Solution.
P.S. : I swear, You, Euni and Kelly Driscoll always have ways to broke my bank account, lol.

I didn't like it at first when I used it and I thought it broke me out then I tried it again later and used less product and I am in love with it and it doesn't break me out idk if I used to much before literally u only need like a dime size amount or it was something else that broke me out but I do love it but I the Dr Cereacul kombucha cream essence more.
i definitely love the laneige cream skin. It doesnt feel like you putting on anything because its so light. perfect because i work under the sun & always sweat a lot. Lotion or cream usually make my face a bit sticky & its uncomfortable

Hi Soo, not sure if you've already tried the IOPE bio essence, but it's a game changer. I regret not trying it sooner, but it blew my mind out of all the essences that I've tried, from SKII, Missha time revo, and all other essences out in the market. You should try it if you haven't.

Soo, you can use Paula'S Choice 1 or 2 times per week without any problem.
It reallly depends on your skin type but I personally love using it 1-2 times a week!

Missha changed the variety of Artemisia that they used in the Calming Essence. I guess that’s one reason why they repackaged. I loved the old formulation, and I got the new one (in time for summer). Will see how it goes.
