Wow, this is incredible! The first time I discovered the art of Robert Bateman was in 1985, I was 14 years old and I was taking drawing lessons. My teacher had a whole bunch of books on art including the famous book The art of Robert Bateman. As soon as I opened this book, I was fascinated and almost immediately, I wanted to reproduce one of the paintings in the book in acrylic. I remember it like it was yesterday. A superb leopard straddling a large branch in a tree. Glad to find you again thanks to TH-cam and to see that you are continuing your magnificent work.
Thank you Robert Bateman. I agree and find my time in my wild garden, observing nature, to be a wonderful antidote to the stress of this world. I am a landscape painter and find inspiration and peace of mind in the outdoors.
Wow where have you been all my life. Jerry Bingham posted this link and wow am I glad he did. My parents brought us up around nature and all it entailed. My Brother especially is completely attuned with nature. He knows so much more than I in that the names of every plant etc. Thank you for this video it is beautiful. Joyce Ann Hampton, Kansas
I was waiting at the bus stop this afternoon. I was watching a sparrow fly over the road. I noticed an insect. I watched as the sparrow caught the insect in its mouth. I thought wow. Amazing!
I appreciate the video, at a time of such imbalance, especially in our youth. Thank you for all your beautiful efforts in OUR behalf to see, feel and be more of this perfect planet. xxx
One day I was sitting at the table and I happened to glance out the window, when I spotted something strange looking in the tree top , I took a second glance again to see what exactly what it was that had caught my eyes, well here it was a tiny baby squirrel, and it was dangling upside down by its little toe grabbers near the end of a small branch , and it was happily munching on new fresh leaves, it would reach out and grab a small twig with tiny leaves on it and munch away care free I couldn’t believe what I had seen ,the little daredevil hanging upside down and munching leaves , it was the first I had ever seen , I wish I could have gotten a picture of him , it was so cute
I'm so glad Bob is doing so well. I took his last Master Class with him in 1992 and he was so sweet and so approachable. I even gave him a shoulder rub!! I spent a week immersed in his philosophy and Art with a Captial A!! (that's what he told us every day)
Thankyou Robert Bateman for reminding us what beauty nature is in all her glory in your art, which I've always loved more than modern art which can look like a bit of slapstick "deep & meaningful" colourful (or not), brush strokes. That is just my own personal opinion, reflecting in my taste in art, no one else's & i mean no disrespect but in showing Nature in all it's myriad of expressions, it takes a person to really look at what is being shown to us and you do it so well, Mr Bateman.
When I lived up north I was with a group of artists and we were going to meet Robert Bateman who was up at one of the small communities, and when I told my boyfriend he got jealous , he wasn’t happy for me that I was going to meet a famous painter , so I declined and missed my opportunity to go with the group ,he thought I had a better life then him because I was interested in art and I went to art group now I wish I had went
I find your paintings very very lifelike. I feel like I've seen the paintings because they're so realistic or I'm in the paintings because they're so realistic and that's symbolic to me I like it it's good job keep it up
A very beautiful legacy this man will pass on to humanity. His words, his thoughts are more important than people realize.

Our environment IS our life. Philosophy and Art go hand in hand. Thank you Mr. Batemen.
Thank you for your work in The Birds of Heaven. One of my favorites.

Pleasantly surprised to find out that another one of my favourite artists is just chilling here on TH-cam without my knowledge.
I Love Nature! I agree with your philosophy! I Love your Work!
"Worrying is useless."
"Taking action is useful."
But being properly informed is best of all.
Love this video, probably watched it 10 times already, Thank you for the inspiration Robert Bateman!

I have always love Roberts work. This video is very well done and I have learned so much more from it.

amazing bateman !
Love the video. Great work but I really love the message. The destruction of Nature needs to stop. The sense of place is essential to the soul.
I think Robert Redford should do a movie about Bob's life and art. He looks so much like him and they sound alike as well!!
robert babey
❤
i was in this exact same room with robert batmen and my class was their to because my teacher is his daughter
ADHD can not be “cured” by being outdoors, unfortunately. The only “fix” is educating society on the disorder.
yeah I don't think going outside is going to cure depression or any other mental health conditions
