So many people are afraid of electric wiring , you should do an in depth wiring shows . Film everything and break it into half hour shows , parts 1 through what ever . A lot of people would watch this .
Trying to rewire my old truck putting relays in. Thank for taking time to show me how.
I made one of these for my datsun using your advice last time and was great. The biggest issue I ran into was trying to make the board too small and compact which really made it difficult to get everything connected up
I personally would've used those old school relays. MSD for example makes a real nice relay block. It's much cleaner install, solid state type rated around 25 amps and triggered negative or positive volts.
For $200 they should also make my coffee! And solid state relays have a voltage drop that can be troublesome in some applications.
Dude I have been a subscriber for a while To be honest I don’t watch your channel a lot because your way beyond my ability in metal working. Your an artist. I am happy to watch your wire video!!! Thank you!!!
Hey Voss, have you heard of silicone self fusing tape? I like it because there is no sticky residue, if you ever need to get back into your loom. I used it over corrugated plastic tubing for my wire tuck for the main bundle and it holds up great to the heat. I used that ‘Chinese handcuff’ material for all wiring coming out of the bundle to everywhere else, looks so choice and it worth the time it takes to inch on
Yo MrKVoss, long time Sir... This video brings back memories of your old video you made a couple of years ago. Can't believe time passing so quick. Found you on that video that time. Great video's man. I don't comment anymore, but believe me, I watch each and every video you post. (Bring back your motivational bits Sir). Anyways, like always, peace out Sir. ZA
Really enjoy your electrical videos! I made a copy of a relay board you built it a past video, still working great!
That mind of yours always producing better ways of doing things! Thanks for the knowledge
I wire my projects with very similar components, but I wire all of my relays with ground sense. I use 4 pin relays, #30 B+, #87 load, and #85 & #86 are the relay coil. I jumper #85 to #30, and run a 16 gauge wire from #86 to the switch that controls the device. I ground the other terminal on the switch to the ground junction block. #30 goes to 12V B+ and #87 to the load. NOTE: There is no current in the control wires.
Using this method eliminates any current running back and forth between the control panel and the relay panel except in the main fused 12 V B+ source. If the control wire gets pinched and shorts out, it just grounds the relay and the device turns on. No burned wires and a much smaller control wire. Also there are no 12 volt wires running around under the dash or control panel and no need for a fuse on the control wire because it has no voltage.
Dam Kyle I cant tell how much iv missed your build videos. Always so dam helpful so much clear information hope you feel better soon. Cant wait to see your next one.
I'm building this truck. Old school. No computer. Using mechanical fuel pump. And 4 barrel carb. Just lights start. Run. Radio. Radiator fan . And that's it !!
How's it going, Kyle? This thing is well thought out and very clean with all the wiring looms, tape, and labels.👌 I really like the idea of incorporating a remote charging terminal into the system. That's a great example of planning ahead!👏 Cheers, buddy.
Great video, wasn’t necessarily the information I was looking for but I’m glad I stumbled upon it. & you’re pretty good at this style of video it seems 👍
Excellent content, thanks for taking the time.
I would also recommend buying the relays with the plug in portion. It makes life easier (prewired with terminals) and replacement easier.
Which kind are those
Thank you for the information. Very helpful. I am building 1954 Chevy Ol'Beater truck. I want to have the bare minimum wiring. Would this harness be something I should use?. And where do I buy it. Please Help. Thank you
I need the link to that wired fuse block
The links you provided isnt for a fuse block with wires like you are showing?
For real. The one he has is slick
Was the wire on that fuse box quality? And where did you get it?
So did I miss it? You need to do a video on the monstrous iron worker you've got there.
already re-wired my truck once. might have to do it again after watching this. i still hate wiring though
I can’t find you on twitch can you put a link ?
Woot woot ! 300k
I try to watch your videos often some are very interesting but some, like this one, seem to be you talking about what you are going to do but not actually doing it.
Great job 👍👍🇨🇱
Just make sure you size wire correctly. I can tell what sizes you are using, but I know fans pull some amps and I would be the water pump does too.
Great info I am currently putting together a rail buggy with a 2.4 ecotec. Do you have any good solutions for a keyed Ignition switch that’s better than the $30 unviversal ones and maybe a bit more secure
I used a cole hersee 95060-60-BP 3 position ignition switch for my sand rail and really like it.
@@racer625 thanks I’ll check it out
Do you have a link for the fuse box with the wiring?
Oh the description
Since it isn't in the description, look up VOWAGH 14 Fuse 12-14 Circuit Wiring Harness
awesome. Thanks man.
Have a link to the heat shrink labels or label maker?

What is the name of the fuse panel.
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷parabéns belíssimo trabalho
Link for fuse box in video ?
nice

Skip all the janky Chinese garbage fuse boxes, bus bars, and Amazon speaker wire. Source a proper PDM from Eaton Bussman/Littlefuse and quality TXL wire from ProWire USA.
Wow! not so easy to do. Spent 6 hrs searching for good stuff and still can't find a quality, US made, combo fuse terminal in a range I need. ProWire has good wire but very limited combinations. No cables suitable for automotive high amp use and not much in the way of accessories. Bussman/Little fuse appears to be high quality commercial stuff and looks like many more hours of searching for retail source. But thanks for the point-out, I am tired of the import crap too! If you know of a quality 8/16 station (both positive and ground), plug in fuse, screw on terminal block, please post.
@@chip-load Waytek Wire. Also, DelCity. You’re welcome.
Edit: Look under Power Distribution Modules. Be sure to purchase the proper crimp tools.
@@scottavuton8196Thanks, Scott. I had checked Del City (nice site), will work on the others. Blue Sea Systems (carried by Del City) seems to have the quality needed.
@@chip-load The Blue Sea stuff is decent but it doesn’t hold a candle to the proper kit from Eaton.
I challenge you to make a video of a decent length without saying "kinda". I am willing to bet that you can't do it.
Teaching is not good
Yapping around for 20 minutes, then 4 minutes of mixed _light_ work and more babbling. *You* need to practice what you preach at the end of every video...
Calm down.
I could watch FF for 3 hours straight
