@@Linda-hs1lk bullshit (ha), a cow in pain wont produce as much as a happy cow, farmers know this and do their best to make sure the cows are as painfree and happy as can be.
@@Linda-hs1lk incorrect. Every GOOD farmer knows happy cows give the best milk. This would be one of the reasons we can buy water beds for cows. Every single dairy farm I have had to go to to repair stuff has always treated the cows with respect and you could see it in their behaviour. The few farms I had heard of who mistreated their cows are no longer holding stock. The dairy world in my end of Canada is very much about the best quality of milk which can be given, and than means you make sure that cow is treated well, no exceptions or you WILL be shutting it down whether you like it or not.

I'm under 40 but growing up I didn't know any fathers teaching their daughters farming. My family was into cattle but mostly into sales, my grandpa was a true legend making his living later in life as an auctioneer. My guess is if an animals suffering; is in danger of dying from infection, and it's going to take the vet days to get to the farm, it might be better for the rancher to do what is in the best interest of the animal. The loss of even a single animal like this to a small farm or ranch can be financially devastating. One might need to also consider the cost of having a vet come to treat a single animal. Also, some farms raise animals without hormones, pain meds, and antibiotics. Finally, human surgeries, treatments must sometimes be done without antibiotics, and meds, even with pain and side effects. These inconveniences have to be measured against the benefit. I undestand, it’s a tough thing to watch, and also tough to do. Even so, most ranchers love their animals and know and do what is best.
Most ranchers are actually pretty good at things like this, as a rancher myself we half the time don’t even need a vet anymore, bc most of the problems we get are repeated and we’ve watched the vet enough to know how to do that

Woo metacam! We’ve always got some in the house for our dogs, great for minor things (stiffness/soreness etc) give it 24 hours before having to get to the vets (who usually just tell us to give them metacam until we get in)
Be careful with that stuff.. My vet had one of my dogs on metacam daily for a hip problem.. It ended up causing kidney failure and we had to put him down.. He was only 12 years old.. A few months later we got a new puppy and couldn't get in to see the vet we had always used.. So we had to make an appointment with a different vet.. During the wellness check of our new puppy, our last dog got brought up in the conversation.. He couldn't believe our last vet had prescribed metacam daily for an extended period of time, because it is very well known to cause kidney failure in dogs..

Brings back memories! Me and the old man have done this a few times together. I was in 6th grade the first time. There was something that was lodged in the cows jaw. We didn't have a head catcher at the time and it sure was a hell of an exciting time getting it done.
It really makes you wonder how they perceive the pain. Because if it's no different than how a human experiences it, good grief. I can only imagine what wild animals go through. And they can't do anything about it. This world is brutal.
Good work on the lump jaw. I have treated about 20 cows that had that problem. I always used a scalpel and cut a x on the swelling. I then pack Sulphur powder on on the x cut.
Poor baby. You can see how relieved it is as it drains. I grew up on a farm and it's sad to see them panic- but nice to see how relieved they are after the help

I really like your daughter. "If you're a bee watching...". She's funny. I see so many whiney, full-of-themselves brats on tv and online it's hard not to think all American children are like that. Your daughter is a breath of fresh air.
Awe , if you’re a bee 🐝 watching.. so adorable. The things young kids say 😆
Just another day for you but let me tell you I'm from the blue ridge mountains of North Carolina and i have never seen a sight as beautiful as that infinite sky you have there, many times I've heard the expression "breathtaking" but at 39 years old i had never experienced it until i watched this, absolutely gorgeous i can't actually imagine it in person, that is certainly gods country
I'm turning 39 this year myself and was born and raised here on the ranch. I don't know much different but I love heading to the Rocky Mountains every once and a while just 3 hours away from the Ranch. Nothing like climbing a mountain and listening to a Elk bugle in the distance. Not much makes you feel closer to God then just simply exploring his creation. Feel free to subscribe and check out our Elk hurting videos with some pretty cool footage.
Have a great day!
Your adorable young daughter is 2 years older by now. Wonderful family! Best wishes...))
a vacation for a bee! The mind of a child. love it
Ya, we have a lot of fun together. We always figure out a way to turn work into fun.

I agree 100%
Thx for watching
Have a Great day
Poor baby I bet she feels better
Happy to see you have your young side kick with you teaching her the ropes. I did the same thing with my son. He's now 17 and can do anything that's needed at the ranch. I'm not sure if you have Cattleman courses in your area if you do that would be a great learning experience for her. I sure she will learn a lot. 🙂👍
The poor baby!! I'm sure she will feel better right away!
Good job!
that brings back memores of my child hood growing up being around amials like cows,!I am enjoying watching how you treat your animals, you seem to care about their health and I really appreciate that!
@@atticusfinch3931 yeah he should have just let the cow die from sepsis instead or brain infection
This gentleman looks like a great great Dad my respects Sir.
I hate sycophants like you....."sir".....🙄🤣🤣🤣🤣
The animal must be feeling so much better, they are lucky to have such a great owner. It's never easy to treat sick animals 💜🌻🇦🇺
Man, that was under so much pressure!
The hot tub part brought back fond memories of swimming in the stock tanks on the family farm 60 yrs ago.
Like your channel and love your family interaction. Think that it’s awesome.
Now that's relief! Only when you see the before and the after can one appreciate the much needed relief.
Here’s a guy that cares about his animals. Bravo glad he is ok now
I love to see the work you do, I even asked for an epidural when I was going to have knee surgery, so that they would put a monitor on me so I could see my surgery. But yes. I'd rather see that at home than smell it.
If i was a bee i would love to go there for a holiday Mikala x
This a view into a lifestyle I know absolutely nothing about. Thanks for sharing! That bull seemed very relieved after the cut, poor thing.
Appreciate your honesty. This bull was truly relieved. Thanks for joining us on the channel even for a short video.
You could tell the cow was feeling better because when you pushed on it she just let you, you could tell she wasn't feeling good but could definitely tell a really big difference the next day of her. Poor thing, it was sad to see her look so sad and hurting like that. Good thing you got it though.
Holy shit! The pressure built up inside that thing is insane!
Aww Mykayla(?) Sorry if spelt wrong but she is adorable..."if you're a bee watching this, this is the perfect vacation spot." TOO cute, innocence at its finest...greetings from NY!
No need to apologize. You were very close and if you like Mikayla's sweet heart then you might like our very first video we made when we were inspired to take people around the Ranch durring our morning chores almost a year ago durring our first lock down.

That had to just be so painful and exhausting for the poor guy! So glad he is doing better!!
Its a shame city kids cannot experience your life .😊 keep up your great work from Australia 😊
Dr. Pimple popper is a great show,. Amazing what people grow on themselves for years & never treat?! So needed no warning about your graphic,. Great show & caring !!😁😉💡🌹👍
Now you people are awesome !! Thank you for having so much love for your animals !!
Don’t mis-use the word love. You don’t send those you love to the slaughterhouse.
you guys are tough as they come, I am proud to see you take care of your animals and share with he world how y'all do it.
Woo metacam! We’ve always got some in the house for our dogs, great for minor things (stiffness/soreness etc) give it 24 hours before having to get to the vets (who usually just tell us to give them metacam until we get in)
That won’t help with an infection though.

Blessings to you and your family
We give all 2,300 of our cattle all there own names each are a blessing and deserve a name..
I subscribed after checking your playlists and seeing the worship videos. The abscess brought me here but the fact that you are likely faith filled led me to subscribe. I have no idea where you are yet.
We are born again believers in Jesus Christ.
The Great Hope Ranch is in Cypress County, Southern Alberta, Canada.
Our Hope is to show Jesus through the way that we live. Our culture might be different out here in the country with Coyotes and Rattle Snakes but we live to glorify the same God that has Risen for you as for me. (JESUS)
Have and Great day !
Brings back memories! Me and the old man have done this a few times together. I was in 6th grade the first time. There was something that was lodged in the cows jaw. We didn't have a head catcher at the time and it sure was a hell of an exciting time getting it done.
I can just imagine. Love these kinda stories.
Farmer pimple popper to the rescue!
Lol
You can see as the pressure releases how he starts relaxing.
It really makes you wonder how they perceive the pain. Because if it's no different than how a human experiences it, good grief. I can only imagine what wild animals go through. And they can't do anything about it. This world is brutal.
HI FROM RHINELANDER Wis !!!!! am new to yr show i like it keep up the good job god bless u all !!
All that flat land scares the hell out of me.
Wow, that bull had so much pressure in the abscess. Glad you guys were able to clear it out.
It’s great to see someone take such good care of there animals ❤️
Good work on the lump jaw. I have treated about 20 cows that had that problem. I always used a scalpel and cut a x on the swelling. I then pack Sulphur powder on on the x cut.
Shout out to all the bees 🐝watching this 🙌. Her suggesting the bee vacation spot got my like on this video 😁

Poor baby. You can see how relieved it is as it drains. I grew up on a farm and it's sad to see them panic- but nice to see how relieved they are after the help
Poor baby! If you don’t do it they’ll get septic.
That's was so much pressure released. That must have been incredibly painful until it was lanced. Good job.
Ahhhhh, I know it feels much better to get that pressure off.
Your such a gift to these animal, may our Creator keep you blessed and stay safe, little bull felt soooo much better and the relief, bless your heart and your a great power of example fir yoyr children!!!
What a difference
BEAUTIFUL DAY
GOD HAS BLESSED YOU
He truly has.
