Increase the height and the length of the runways asap, build a rail line north to south, develop transshipment port asap., improve tourism facilities esp the five star category facilities. Not developing AN to combat ready naval base is like sitting the best player in your team in reserve and trying to win the match. AN should be india's largest naval base with all naval assets ready to sail into northern pacific ocean.
The biggest challenge is the preservation of environment, these islands are very fragile, of course it is being taken care while developing the region. Est bases for triservices to operate and dominate the region.
