I'm still loving my rose gold Galaxy Watch ❤️ I bought it in December and I wear it every day. It works just the same as it did the day I bought it. And the battery life is still good. I also have zero scuffs or scratches. Such a great purchase! The review you did last year made me wanna buy it lol

I purchased my watch in October 2018. I love my watch. It took some getting used to cause it was my 1st smart watch (big). My favorite thing is buying/changing the watch bands to match my outfit of the day. I wear it almost daily. I wear it when I work out and I wear it to work. I am a RN. So, I wash my hands often. After about 6 months in, I had to send the watch in for repair. The back cover consists of a thin plastic wafer that's similar to the clear plastic covers you'll find on most packaging of products that are sold in your local stores. Well, after 6 months that plastic wafer began to slide off. It is glued on. The glue was jelly like and no longer had the ability to hold the wafer in place. I even let it sit for a few days hoping that it would harden and stick again. No such luck. I ended up losing the plastic piece all together. Then it wasn't able to hold a charge and finally it just stopped turning on at all. So, I arranged to have it sent to Samsung for repair. Samsung sends me a bill for $71 for the repair. Needless to say, I kindly let them know that they're not charging me for their poor design. Not to mention, it's still under warranty. After going back and forth with this, they decided not to charge me for the repair. They stated that the damage was cosmetic and not covered under the warranty. They also threw in the old "water damage". Then they tried to say maybe I dropped it. They tried it. What you won't do is charge me a repair fee on a water resistant watch still under a one year warranty after 6 months of owning it. I'm not sure if it was the warm temps/sweat from the workouts and or the constant washing of my hands, but both would get the back of the watch wet often. I think gluing that plastic on the back is a definite design flaw on Samsung's part. Why not have a whole back piece that snaps on as a whole. Once that wafer comes off, the watch is exposed. Still love my watch though.

Got mine 4 days ago, so far i'm loving it! I especially love the widgets to count water and calorie intake, making calls on it was surprisingly good and convenient. The built in storage for music is definitely the feature i'm looking forward to using the most(So i can go for a run outside without carrying my phone) , just gotta wait for the weather to get better haha.

John, Here I have had my 46mm for about 6 months and I love it. The heart rate sensor is a bit iffy when exercising but the automatic step counting is fantastic. I use an app called "Flashlight", sounds too simple but it makes just enough light to get around without waking your partner. The one-swipe to whether I used 2-5 times a day and I take at least 2 calls a day on it. I am glad I did not buy the LTE version. As always, great video Thao.

I'm a recent Samsung Convert...lol... I've been with HTC for over 12 years but with them dying out and going completely silent and not even supporting their current devices, I had to leave them. I couldn't take it anymore. Then I went to LG and was thoroughly disappointed. I didn't get the same excitement like I did with HTC and LG is extremely slothful with....... everything. Left them too. I've stayed away from Samsung because I thought they were overrated and I didn't want to be a part of the crowd but they were basically my only other easily accessible option. Now I have the S10+ and got the Galaxy Watch to go along with it. HTC never offered in-house smart watches so I didn't see the value at first but now... I'm a total convert. When my watch isn't on my wrist I feel naked. The S10+ is probably the best phone I've ever had minus the T-Mobile Sidekick Line. They will always have a special place in my heart. And I am loving my Galaxy Watch even more with the recent One UI update. Can't wait for it's successor.

I find the HRM tends to miss reading the strap isn't tight enough and that is usually because the strap stretches when it gets warm . So I tend to go 1 or 2 notches tighter than is comfortable when mountain biking so when it gets warm it feels right.

I noticed that too when I had one and it was annoying. One thing I would recommend is tightening the band if possible. I noticed if I made it a little tighter or used a sport loop it couldn't slide as much and would work a little better.

I am using Galaxy Watch with iPhone 6s Plus. First one I had was returned to vendor as it had a defective battery and lots of problems syncing with iPhone. New one was sent out within 3days and works well, and syncs on first try. Battery lasts about 3.5 days. To get new watch faces go to search feature after connecting watch to wifi, and yes you can’t purchase new ones. Good watch and much cheaper than Apple Watch, and new face choices are great.

I've had my 46mm Galaxy Watch since October 2018 and it is worn daily without exception. I love the fact I don't charge mine as often as the wife's 42mm. Also, recently inherited a Rolex upon my father's death didn't mean a thing! That watch stays in a protected sheath obviously for sentimental reasons. I used to be a watch collector having several models which now remain in their boxes. I cannot see owning and wearing another watch which does so much and my days of collecting watches are over. And similarly with my Note 9 and this watch, I think I'm good for mobile & watch for at least the next 2 years.

Hey you! Great video. I’ve only had mine a month and have had to send it off for repair. The Heartrate was set to always on but it kept freezing and would only track it again when I rebooted the phone. It’s happened several times so knew there was an issue. I’ve had it back a day and it’s been ok so far. I also own an apple series 4 watch and a Garmin 645 music. I notice the calories burned and steps taken seem to be a lot lower on the galaxy watch than on the other two devices so I don’t think the fitness monitoring side is the Galaxy’s strong point. Do you notice something similar? I don’t know which device to wear the most. The Garmin is fantastic for my running and has a great app but the screen on the galaxy and the rotating bezel is far better than the Garmin screen sadly. I’m in a dilemma! Haha. Love the vids. Keep em coming please. :-)

With the LTE 4g on the battery will die even with only little to medium use after like 12-14 hours. With bluetooth on the 42mm can last 2-3 days with occasional use. With super heavy use itll last like a day and a half. Wish the battery was bigger but if you charge it every night before bed its good lol

Got mine a few days ago. Earbuds will arrive soon. I got the 42mm LTE so I can respond to texts and listen to spotify while my phone locked up at work. I work 12 hr shifts and I know I can't stream for 12 hrs. I turned off all the battery draining features and I'll be mostly playing downloaded music on my premium Spotify account. But I'm hoping to at least get 6 hrs of music playback on a full charge with occasional streaming. The ONLY other data I'd like is steps. But not heartrate and definitely not workout detection. I work at Amazon and the dynamic workout detection would try to track my entire shift since we work nonstop for every single minute of our shifts. At the rate it drained the battery, I wouldn't have made it 2 hrs. So I just need spotify with earbuds and possibly steps.
Can't wait for the buds to arrive so I can test it out. If it doesn't work them I'll be sending this thing back and cancelling the separate line of LTE service with my provider.

Thanakku Thaaa - Have one quick question. Have you used Apple Watch before? The reason I am asking is that I use iPhone XS Max and Apple Watch Series 4. I have always shuffled between Android (galaxy phones, Pixel etc.) and iOS (several of the iPhone versions) but all those times I never owned a smartwatch along with the phones. I really like the Note 10 (the smaller version of the Note 10 phone). Apple watch is making it harder to switch. I checked the galaxy watch 42mm and some of the things I liked and some I didn't. I liked the rotating ring but then the watch seemed a bit bulky. I am wondering if the Galaxy watch can be charged on the back of the samsung phones through reverse charging. So many questions there but let me know what you think.

    • @thao

This is the year I pick up an Apple watch! Never actually tried one. Regarding the Galaxy watch, yes it can be charged on the back of the newer Samsung phones with reverse wireless charging. Have you considered the Galaxy Watch Active 2 that's coming out?

Love apples and like a doofus held my ear to your watch to listen to the satisfying clicks 😆
I've had mine for 2 months or so now and LOVE it. Wear it everyday for step tracking at work which tops out at a little over 38k per day 💪🏾. I forgot it one day and felt like I wasted a load of tracking data LOL! (Challenge me on Samsung Health y'all). Besides that I've found that it tracks sleep when I'm home simply working on my laptop when I wish I was actually sleeping 😐. To overcome that I shake my wrist occasionally especially when I wake up from actual sleep so it stops recording. Thanks for your update Thao Here!

I'm still using the Galaxy Gear S3, which I love. It's pretty much my daily watch. But, I do have a couple Michael Kors Access watches as well for when I want to dress up. I personally have not had any issues with my Gear S3 and I have owned it for about three years. So to hear you've had issues twice and had to take it in for a repair is disconcerting. Hopefully, you just got a bad one. I've been trying to decide if I want to get the Galaxy Watch or wait until a new version. Think I will continue to wait for now.

Hi Thao, thanks for your fun enthusiastic and very informative reviews. Ive owned this Samsung watch for about 5 months and I like it a lot, mine crashed recently too. I've owned most of Samsungs watches, this in my opinion is definitely the best. I usually get the lte versions but never really need that facility. I tried the LG sports watch, very good but I missed the unique Samsung connection.

Which would you recommend more the Galaxy sport or the Galaxy watch? The sport looks more comfortable and smaller but it seems to have less features.

    • @thao
      @thao  5 ปีที่แล้ว

I think the biggest drawback of the active is that it doesn't have a speaker for taking calls directly on the watch. If that's not important and you want something smaller/slimmer, the active is great.

Im suprised no one here is having issues with the sensor cover on the back coming off. Ive only had my watch 9 months and went to take the watch off one day to find the sensor cover had separated from watch, there was also this sticky residue which im assuming is the glue used to hold the cover on. There are also others inquiring about this issue on samsungs website and being denied warranty service claiming the cause is water damage which is strange considering the watch is supposed to be waterproof.

Hey girl I watched your first video when I couldn't decide between Active and this one, bought it yesterday and then today you came out with this one so super great timing. I'm kinda thinking maybe I should have bought the extra warranty the store offers in Australia but that's approx $75+ but includes accidental damage as well. What do you think? Funny fact I've also got that same Baby g watch lol

Hi Thao ! I love your tech review ! I own a Samsung Gear Sport since october 2018 and my watch works as day one 7 months later. The rotative bezel is very convenient. Samsung watches are the bests on the market. I have absolutely no complain about my Gear Sport. I like the Rinke style on your watch and I will probably get one. It is available in my country, France on Amazon. Thank you Thao ! 👍👍
