Recently I played some DS1 pvp again after coming from DS3 pvp , and it was a lot of fun I must say. Also pretty active still, I thought that was gonna be a problem but nope, DS1 still has a pulse for sure. Keep up the good work :)
Graveganks are always so much fun, shame you dont find them very often. On the topic of not much activity, I feel like it always comes and goes with ds1. There are long streches where its largely inactive and then there comes a period where there's lots of activity. Anyway great video mr.mash:)
People say this but when they're getting ganked a lot of hate mail ensues, lol. I like to do both, host solo and graveganking. Most people just run away though, if you can;t handle multiple enemies then don't invade, if you can't even handle a solo host and all you're gonna do is run away then why invade? At less you're hoping for more help to arrive? Either way, I miss the good old days of madness everywhere!~ Don't see a lot of AL action, no footage?
Hey! As ganker myself the main reason why we didn't gank that much at fromsoft older games is lack of people. For example in ER you can gank about 40 people per hour (almostly all of them will be different people, number may be lower or higher, time to kill really matters), in ds3 is about 15-25 people per hour (same people), and in ds1 you will get 10 people per hour if you are lucky, and its really boring to wait victims. I really like ds1, and I play often as gravelord, but ganking is almostly dead in that game, gravelording is much more reliable and fun IMO, at sl 30-40 or olacile is very fun to fight 1v5, I can kill about 50-60 per hour. I really like your vids, keep doing them! I am PC player.
@@MrMashroom just get it, pvp is just so much better with dark souls 1 pvp overhaul, you will never go back to console. Being able to invade anywhere from everywhere is awesome and it helps incredibly with the low playerbase, you are not forced only to the same spot.
The main problem is bad meta. Ds1 infested by stunlocks, backstabs, spell one hitters. DS3 two hit combos vs constant ganks were also very trashy, stamina recovery way too fast never being able to punish nor put pressure stamina wise. Shitty instant run/roll attacks on some weapons. Elden ring is a clusterfuck of AoEs that ruin the fun if ganks start spamming altogether, pushes you to use one hit ko strats, which is not fun either. IMO only ds2 got a right design for pvp, mechanicaly. Even with counter dmg boosting way too much some weapons, and some buffs raising dps too much. It was great, roll att cancels for quicker rolls, cooldowns on actions, rotational limits, both hands moves, actually good poise system..
There might be some truth to that, but ds2 also had some drawbacks. In the end the older games will just lose its audience I guess, especially when there are like 5 newer entries from the same developer, no matter if the newer game has problems as well (looking at you, Elden Ring)

I am not in favor of using advantages or glitch within the game but in pvp I see a lot of them going to your back and I don't use METAs either. I have also seen that they use the giant and havel armor a lot to avoid poise damange

How is it possible to GRAVEGANK? Is it item swap? I tried at PC and didnt worked (I couldn't use the glitch after summon) :(

Great video mate. At least activity is relatively high on PC with wex dust, but the lack of groups/ganks is disappointing.
Man I'd love to have wex dust on PS. I thought of getting DS on PC but right now my motivation to play is pretty low anyway 😅
