So if you jump, your enemy sees you jumping, because the enemy game client can predict where you're going, there was no way to change your traectory of jumping back then (like you can with glider nowadays for example). However your actual positioning, does not get updated until you land. So what you do, is run to an enemy priest, jump at the last moment when you're out of range of their scream, they scream, but they miss it, since you're out of range, and you scream right when you land, because your position is now updated and you are in range. So you jump from out of range to in range. A good enemy priest will try to scream as soon as you land, however this almost never works (if you're jump screaming right), since they will have sent their scream to the server way too late. You can also do the jump charge/intercept in vanilla in warrior vs warrior. If you jump when being too close to the target, and your landing will be chargable, your enemy will most likely never get to charge you back, since for their client you're too close and suddenly you're chargable. So what you do is get to the charge min border, jump and spam charge. You will ALWAYS have the charge that way and 50% of the time they won't be able to charge back, depending on ms. xD Hope you understood something. xD
A trick I used to use on my druid/shaman was a hearthstone fake heal vs mages or priests to get them to waste their silence. Use to see the good druids in vanilla use that during duels.. Worked better before their were casting bar addons..

Two questions from a gm rogue - At highish hp I think we can bait Overpower using Evasion/Ghostly for a full reset when we blind them in battle stance no? War typically burns trinket on the first kidney shot. If we evasion/ghostly immediately after the trinket they'll overpower and we can Blind during the 1s stance CD. Although your vid you've got ~3.5khp so maybe riskier in these fights (or if Dark Edge of Insanity procs on the overpower) I didn't realize you could jump through demo shout to land Cheapshot. Does this work on the classic engine? Awesome vid. I've put thousands of hours into this class but would love to learn more from one of the best!
after a lot of practice you start to be able to just know by gaging the distance between you and opponent. as far as i know there isn't an addon that specifically tells you when you are too close for your opponent to intercept/charge/shoot bow (for hunters).
@@bh-0330 yeah, but there could be custom spells, maybe macro or certain special items, one of which requires, 10-12 meters distance to target to use and since you see a red/grey marker on a spell icon you could have an idea if you are close enough or getting too far.
Back on my 2 old vanilla server, everyone doing duels frowned upon using pots, bandages, and many other things like engineering i believe aswell ( cant remember that one ), to the point of basically not dueling anyone who did them. Because in retail everything is supposed to be balanced whereas in classic everyone is broken (powerful) in their own way. I dont see how classic isn't MORE interesting. I think there is a reason why classic is more popular than retail in all ways...unless you have a family and kids in your mid 40s..even then they wouldn't be able to follow whats happening in comparison to retail.

Well, what I can say. You're really good, no doubt. But it's quite lame that you use all of your cds every single fight (namely prep). It should be obvious to a player as skilled as yourself that things like prep aren't meant to be available every fight. As a result of this it's obvious the warrior stands no chance. Most classes get destroyed by a rogue when he uses all of his cds. There is a reason those moves have a downtime. Is this a common thing within the vanilla community to do? On the servers I played (mostly tbc ones; and on retail back in tbc - I played retail vanilla too, but don't remember how things were handled back then) it was frowned upon to use >5min cds. At least among the better players.
hello mate. most classes do not get 'destroyed by a rogue when they use all cds'. at least, not the top tier players. it's the opposite, actually. there is a reason prep is used - there's a ton of rng in this duel. no crippling proc means i'm losing half my hp in a global. resisting a stun can mean the same. now i have to slowly grind down the warrior's health, and the bigger the pool, the more likely i will get no crippling, or stun resists. =)

The 5min+ cd rule is bullshit anyways, it just takes away tools from classes for no reason, people cry about paladin having bubble for example. tbc+ the general rule was everything that is usable in arenas CD wise you can use in a duel.

in classic u can walk through demo shout if u leeway it i believe, also gear was R10/MC gear cuz its pretty balanced in terms of gear/powercreep

5-8 kite, you get to know your melee range pretty well as a rogue, and its just farther than that.
