- Nice little pop song from Chesney Hawkes which was written by Nik Kershaw. Nothing much to say really, it's your typical pop rock of the time and has a pretty cool solo.
'Leppardized' is my way of adding interesting guitar parts to a song that has little to no guitar in it, in an attempt to make it more like the Hysteria era of Def Leppard. Although really it is just an excuse for me to play over pop. :)

I've seen alot of covers of this song over the years and it's been covered beyond the ridiculous and then I sat and listened this.... By far the best guitar cover I've heard, thats the comment. Amazing work mate, You've just earnt yourself a subscriber :).

The part from the solo to the end, I could listen to it all day. Solo is killer and the part after that just a kind of soothing. Crazy as it may sound. Thanks for this amazing piece.
This is one of them wonderfully crafted solos that just goes completely under the radar it reminds me of Lionel Richie's Dancing on the Ceiling

Great Leppardization! I'd never heard this song until it played over the sound system in my local shopping mall the other day. Nik Kershaw seems to be a really underappreciated songwriter.
It's a catchy song. Most people think that Chesney Hawkes wrote it because he is the one that recorded and performed it. But the writing credit goes to Nik Kershaw.
Nik Kershaw is VERY underrated.

So many "pop" songs had such great guitar parts back then. And some of the best lead parts by some of the best session guys (Lukather, Tim Pierce, etc.) who came up with these perfect, melodic parts.

sparky1252003 Thanks! Well, it’s a dedicated unit for that purpose so it may be better but emulation has come along way in these last few years so it’s hard to say. I’ve gotten comfortable with my set up but it could no doubt be improved too.

BRYAN PITTMAN Thanks. I’m going to do another solo compilation but I’ve covered almost their whole discography already over the last 7/8 years bar a a couple of acoustic tracks.
Rumour from a few years ago was that the solo was done by a 17 year old John Mitchell (Arena, It Bites, Frost*, Lonely Robot). I used to know John and he worked on a few projects I was recording and producing.... I asked him and he neither confirmed or denied it. The rumour continues.....
Not familiar with him, cool solo though.
I always thought it was Nik Kershaw who did the guitar work..
