Number 15 should of been number 1.. BHP run on 21 June 2001, comprising 682 wagons and hauled by eight 6000 hp General Electric GE AC6000CW diesel-electric locomotives controlled by a single driver with a total length of 7.352 km (4.57 mi) on the 275 km (170.88 mi) iron ore railway to Port Hedland in Western Australia - total weight 99,734 tons on a 1,435 mm gauge line. its the Heaviest and longest train ever
Absolutely amazing and fabulous trains! Just imagine the power. Incredible. Being a rail fan I love this video! Thank you so very much. Keep up the great work! 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
As a Railfan in Canada, I film the Canadian National Railway and the Canadian Pacific Railway and sometimes they will have helpers like Union Pacific, BNSF, CSX and the Norfolk Southern on long freight trains.

Yeah the Australian ore train is nuch longer . And 1.5 mules is considered short in the U.S. everyday trains over 2 miles pass through many rail lines often having 300 plus wells. Wells being the container cars. Often double stacked
In mountainous areas like Colorado, Switzerland and such, building the track itself is another fascinating part of the history. They being so long and heavy, it’s best to move in straight lines. Even slight left and right and up and down causes big problems for pulling and breaking.
25:46 You mean Frisco TX, 4018 have moved from Dallas to Frisco in 2013 from few months to a year before Big Boy 4014 was removed from Railgiants museum in Pomona CA.
Trains have greatly influenced the development of society . That's just the russian railways are arranged unreasonably and incorrectly, so they are unprofitable.
No comparison. Either a low stress adventure OR a very high stress crammed together disrespectful experience. The last time I flew, in an Airport a Guy coming out of a store (On a Phone of course) rammed his carry on at high speed right into my cookies and put me down for 5 minutes. And of course He did not stop after 100% knowing he did this. Trains are great!
Despite the war in Ukraine....you should not forget the Russian railways when evaluating the largest ones. They have had the most powerful single locomotive of the world some 14 MW. And the line through Siberia is the longest in the world and network is the biggest one.

Cool video Charlie Sheen 👍
I love all these videos he makes my day every day when I watch the videos
This should be re-titled to The Largest Train Companies.
These trains are totally awesome right there wow nice 😊
Fascinating
It is fascinating to see the ingenious manufacture and operation of the Railroads.

@@frankly88 Thank you so much 😃
Ya but much of the railroad there is on virtually flat ground. Probably why it didn't get a higher rank.
Agreed. I waited for 20mins for their train to pass by slowly at a crossing outside of Newman I gave up counting at the 58th wagon.
I love trains so much ever since I was a kid and I still love them

Thank you very much!
That elephant is adorable.
When you say "fateful", it conjures visions of a train disaster NOT a successfully operated train.
Super video
amazing!
Very nice trains, and interesting. Love it 😍. I liked the Russian train being very modern. It used to be really nice 👍

The big boys run from Denver to Cheyenne occasionally and you can see them as you drive on Highway 85. Quite impressive!
BNSF🥇 The trailblazer!

Bad math, 682 cars is a lot more than 1.5 miles (8,000 feet). That's 13 feet per car. Same bad math for 480 cars by BNSF, 2.5 miles.
Pretty sure he also mixed up feet with meters for the Tokaido Shinkansen N700. 400+ ft long train high speed train? lol

I would suggest a foam layer between the steel and concrete to keep moisture out. Or use a cellular concrete between steel and concrete.

nice
I like trains

They're magnificent machines.
@4:48 Is that a red devil face on the back of the Russian train?
😂😂😂
By the way the first train listed goes on autopilot.
Amazing, isn’t it?
Same pronunciation for the country's capital, Canberra.. pronounced Canbra.. and yes l know, coz l lived there 20.5 years.
How exactly do they take the load from these ? It's too long. What is the process? It breaks it in 10 trains at the end? How does it work
The largest train in the world is the one in Brazil on the Carajas railway in the state of Pará, 3.5 km long and with 350 wagons
In my opinion, travelling by train is the most civilized way to travel!! ❤❤❤
How stunningly long do you keep your hair? I adore woman who grow theirs that way, describe it please?
I'd rather use a train than a a plane.

Me too. The ride is so smooth. And I'm not a fan of heights.
But your more likely to die on a train than a plane

I'm a Western Australian and Pilbara is pronounced Pilbra....
🤓🙋♂️👍
Steam Loco should be replaced by Diesel or Electric Loco for Environmental protection & health
Do you mean longest or heaviest, or what?
This was not as interesting as I thought it would be.
Modern railroad engines are boring. They are exactly the same design unlike steam engines that were stylish and classic.
How is an eight car Russian train one of the longest?????
😆😜😂
They are not the “largest”. They are the “longest”. Sort your English.
stick to the facts get rid of the fluff like saying carrying hopes and dreams
