The final chapter in this series, here you can view the finished, fully restored Show in all it*s glory....complete with period-correct Stage lighting!
The final adjustments were made to the figures, and after a few more days of work a pair of light bars were added to incorporate the original lighting scheme. A themed backdrop and a few small additons later, the Show looks much like it did during Pizza Time Theatre*s heyday in the early 1980s.
Two more classic Harmony Howlette skits are featured with full show lighting as it was. A sight to behold...a pleasure to have had the honor of helping to restore this historic treasure.
Please view our other Show Restoration videos in this series to see how this Show was full restored to it*s former glory
Your set of videos was very informative and interesting. I love to see some passionate pros at work on things! I only know 'round about mid 90s Chuck so it has been illuminating.
Thank you. The early 1980s was CECs 'golden era'. Nothing today really compares to what Pizza Time Theatre was like back then, and today's CEC is a pale shadow of it's former self.
awesome to see this charakters full working, great job!
This is actually quite fascinating! Never knew how much work went into these robots! Thanks for uploading and sharing this!!
They were clever engineering marvels , and still hold up well after all these years. A tribute to the fine gents and ladies who created these characters back in the day.
my dad would be so happey if u put those robots live on stage
Good job guys! You could've used a better camera.
R.I.P Crusty the Cat.
Better than munch
?
HE'S IN DIS VIDEO?!?
R.I.P Headphones
Very educational. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed ! :)
Could you please ask jenn where she gets her animatronics from? I don't own any currently but would really like to. I love the videos!!
These are not hers
And she got her bb from her store that was throwing it out
Do you guys have like a 5 car garage or something?! LOL
Question:
Were the later eighties Chuck E.s re-themes or completely different models from the type shown here?
The stages, and in many cases the character figures, were completely different setups. The 'Munch's Make Believe Band' stages sometimes re-used original PTT era Cyberamic internal mechs, but the outer cosmetics and clothing was completely re-designed and new. There were no 'Balcony Shows' in operation at any location after the nationwide roll out of the 'Front Porch' styled stage setup which showcases the characters for the first time as full-bodied figures with 'legs' in the late 1980s. By the early 1990s most CEC locations had the 'Munch Band' setup.
Leo Lion So, for example, the Chuck here uses a different mask to, perhaps, one from a modern 2-stage...
+kobun37 Do you know when and why it was shut down by Corporate? I know it was about 22 years behind but I am just wondering.
+kobun37 Do you know what year the last Balcony/C Stage Chuck w/ Red Vest and the last Balcony/C-Stage PTT Helen where scrapped?
Harmony Howlette: Way better than Helen Henny.
Crusty the Cat: Way, WAY more better than Mr. Munch.
My point is that the Chuck E. Cheese business should've kept the original characters. And if not keep Harmony Howlette, keep the original design of Helen Henny. CASE. CLOSED.
Actually, I do in fact agree. I mainly like Harmony because I have a soft spot for wolves, but Crusty would've been amazing during a show now.
@MacHappy The reason most videos you see of Harmony have a wide open mouth is because later on after the restoration, Mike's Harmony's inner jaw structure broke and had to be replaced with a homemade version that is a bit different than the original. Also, the reason she's so jerky is because for some reason, this Harmony bot doesn't like to run at the proper air pressure, so Mike has to turn the air pressure up in order to get her up and running. If you saw her back in her heyday at a PTT location, I'm sure you'd have a different opinion of her!!
How about having Munch and Crusty with all the characters who performed at the cabaret and as guest star with the Warblettes, Mopsey Sisters, Clapperboard, the weird Octopus and with The Beagles?
Old school
Umm i wanted to ask you if you have more guest Stars then harmony and if you have BB Bubbles
I know this is a SUPER late reply, but I can answer this for you!! Sadly, this balcony show isn't around anymore, Mike sold off most of the characters but kept Harmony. He also has a Dolli Dimples (the only functioning Dolli known to exist), and the two of them now reside in his living room. At one point, Mike had Helen Henny and I think Madame Oink (cosmetics, not full bots), but he also sold them since he really only likes Harmony for his personal collection. And the only B.B. Bubbles cosmetics known to have survived is owned by Jen, who actually turned the cosmetics into a marionette since she doesn't own the bot for cabaret piano players!! If you search up CVX B.B. Bubbles, you'll be able to find video footage of Jen performing B.B. Bubbles at the very last Cheesevention!! :D
@@NumeroLetter dolli is also owned by a private collector
do you have the bottom halves?
This era of Chuck "bots" were shown on a balcony... so there wasn't a bottom half.
Search for Chuck E. Cheese Balcony show in a photo search... you're bound to see what I mean.
Do you think you could do another video with the audio turned down? Idk if you still have this show in your posession or not, but I would love to be able to listen to it. (I had to turn the audio off)
Sorry about the audio issues.
The volume is loud becuase when this was recorded the show audio needed to be loud to cover up the natural 'clacking' sounds of the robotic figures.
The sound is also echoing off of the bare walls of the garage where this was shot.
Also adding to that audio issue is that back at the time I made these and uploaded, I didn't have the VHS to digital conversion process at a good standard back then.
I now have someone else handle it when it comes to the conversations.
Sadly I am not able to re-upload this as the edited form as shown no longer exsists.
@@CircusShowplace That's okay! Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. I've watched a few more of your videos last night and I must say I respect your work. Thank you for sharing these videos in the first place. They're lovely to watch.
With this, I have another question. Lately, I have been hoping to work on larger animatronics. (I have done a lot of dolls and toys, but never anything larger) What is the best way to transition into working with larger pieces? Also, where would I find one for sale? I'm sad to say that I'm pretty clueless as to what I can do to get my proverbial foot in the door.
Thank you for the compliments, and thank you for watching!
It's too bad I didn't have the handheld photography technology we have today to capture this footage back in the day.
It was VHS all the way, which has served me well but provided a challenge to convert back when I originally uploaded this series.
:)
Regarding your question on where to get a figure like this, they will sometimes come up on eBay but the best way is by networking with fans of cec.
Many are collectors, or know who the collectors of such figures are and can point you in a direction.
@@CircusShowplace Thank you very much!
Do you have the PTT mascot costume
cant hear crap everyone is talking at the same time

i hope that awful sound is because of the camera.
It is many factors, the main thing being the bare walls of the garage bouncing the sounds around indefinitely. There is a reason recording studios have padded walls ! ;)
good.i know i should have been more specific when commenting.
But Chuck, all u did was insult them
turn off the fruitcake dog.
