Thanks for the awesome videos from Spain. When I was young, Spain was always portrayed as flat, dry, and hot (and rather boring) and Spanish, well, that was associated with Mexico. I learned better as I grew older... but still, I didn't realize that Spain was as mountainous and beautiful as you've shown. This was an awesome drive!
@@letstakearide70 That's a phrase coined in the cold war. In fact it's only western Europe, since Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia and North Macedonia are more mountainous.
@Paseos por Madrid American, and I've known better for several years now ("European Road"'s videos from Spain always remind me of what I had to "un-learn"). That was the way Spain was portrayed... a false stereotype held in the schools. Most of the imagery I remember seeing in the classroom was actually Mexican/Central American, although I didn't know it at the time (this was back in the 60s and 70s). The American school systems need to be changed, for the better - that I would quickly agree with. Too much emphasis on "Obedience to Authority" and "showing proper submission to your betters", mixed with false stereotypes and "How Great America is!".
@@RedHeart64 Everybody can see YT videos of the horrible geography education in America (although they're cherry-picked just for laughs) but even if someone mistakenly believes Spain is near Mexico (probably the same who don't know half of USA was under Spain rule and USA existence itself was thanks to Spain help in their Independence War) people just need to look a map of Mexico, where half of the country is the continuation of the Rocky Mountains.
Spain is like a small continent, there are all kinds of landscapes and climates, the province of Alicante is even smaller and has all that diversity, the south is flatter and drier and the north is more mountainous and rainy.
My favourite segment of AP-7 through Comunitat Valenciana. Going southwards, after the Mascarat tunnel, there is the best view of Benidorm, Serra Gelada and the Mediterranean that you can get.
Great video, great music.👍 These vidz are way better with instrumental music. Don't you even think about uploading something with Rick Astley or Wham😆 Happy New Year!
Mooi begin van 2022 met dit filmpje!
Ik zou zo graag weer naar Benidorm willen met de auto.

Spain is the second most mountainous country in Europe after Switzerland
