All Black people knew how to do this in the 80's! But when gangsta rap came out in the 90's, the hip-hop gods got angry and took our power away.

The 80s where the greatest times. Things where still natural and innocent. If you didn't live in the 70s through early 90s, you missed the good times when life was enjoyable.

Damn right. I truly miss those days and wish I would have enjoyed them even more, instead of wanting to grow up and get out of school. Though I can at least be grateful for the experience, whereas kids these days just don't have a clue.

Okay, so from 0:59 to 3:47 is one shot. Do you people understand that? Not only was Turbo dancing that entire time, he and the crew were in sync while rotating the room to his movements. That's 3 minutes of excellence right there!!
I really do love this film, I would have loved to see a third where some new dancers come on the scene and TKO have to come out of retirement and burn 'em!

1980s. 1982 we had Metal starting up on MTV. We had game rooms. Going to Grand Prix race o Rama, the mall, movies. All the great rock concerts, cruising the tri county yo.
The Metal Chicks and the Madonna wannabe chicks..house parties. Being a teenager to 20 years old in 1989 . It was simple then. No social media. Internet cellphones. No one ever thought of the dehumanization and DESENSITIZED world that is today😔. However music is ever changing and perhaps the 80s vibe will come back to remind us all. We HAVE EACH OTHER. For the next gen. Be well out there.

This must have been so exciting for Cannon Films and also to Michael Chambers for the overwhelming response of the broom dance in the first film to come up with something even better than before.
I believe it was Menahem Golan who decided to come up with this concept of 'dancing on the ceiling like Fred Astaire.' Ironic as the character of Turbo didn't know who Fred Astaire was, which was a nice touch.
Still a great sequence and you can really tell everyone was buzzing at the success of the first film and rushing to get this done within the same year.
Both have such charm to them and I never tire of watching these films. Such happier times.

The entire set is being turned clockwise/counterclockwise as he dances around the room, allowing him to transition from floor, to wall, to ceiling, etc. Since the cameras are attached to fixed points on the set, the room doesn't appear to be moving at all.
When the girl comes in, they only either show her in separate shots that were filmed when the set was turned right-side-up, or she is shown "leaning" against the wall, but she is actually laying on the wall until the room turns upright.

Turbo his moon walk, style and dress in black and red jacket along with the entire movement behind this song influenced greatly Michael Jackson's Beat It style, dance, and Video. Jackson took the energy behind this movement and put it into his albums and music videos.

Seeing this movie was put out by Cannon pictures them spending the cash they did on this set was amazing... Watch the history of Cannon pictures.. The only films they ever had that made a decent profit back, was the original Breakin, Missing in Action, The original Highlander , and Bloodsport.. Though some of the original JCVD films they did made back costs..

Why Can't I find this version of the song to download, only the soundtrack version. It's slightly different and missing the little keyboard keys during the part where he sings "Now that I found you, girl it's love so true..." I want this version of the song that's in this clip. Damn it!

    • @mariah8234
      @mariah8234 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Aulrin462 I'm right with you!!! I've looked for 20 years and can't find it either. If you couldn't find it in the Napster days, you probably won't ever find it. Even the international singles are the same version. I had to live with the other version too

You can do what I did. Just take the video into a TH-cam converter Nd make it into an MP3. I couldn't find it myself so this was the best fix for me. Hope I helped at least a bit

Rap music was started in NYC in the 70's due to a DJ named Kool Herc,he created the first breakbeat. By doing so he basically CREATED THE ENTIRE MODERN ERA OF MUSIC. All the shit on the radio nowadays uses breakbeats that have been sampled or played on a keyboard and then laid over a drum pattern. Most people have never even heard of Kool Herc and thats the point to make sure people dont know the real origin of it all.
From sex to music people envy black people. Research Kool Herc and see.
