@@kbrender by the way I find the fbx/obj file exported weirdly small (less than 2Mb) so I suspect that it isn't exported in the file did some researches on my side and I don't think it's possible to export mixed shader textures, but you're more experienced so I think I'll leave you to it
Sorry, Kylsonn, but this is unusable. Not only is the layer weight node not working as you describe it, but your downloadable blend file, which I downloaded for comparison per your recommendation in response to another poster whose Layer weight node wasn't working as you describe, chokes my machine down. I've got a half-million particle sim that doesn't pull as much juice and this is just a shader. I don't know what's going on, can't even look at your nodes because of lag this file causes. I thought I'd let you know. It's a shame because, if it were serviceable, it would be a brilliant solution for a problem in a project that's driving me mental.
Great video!
amazing, thanks for the tutorial

Hey how diid you learn procedural nodes in blender?
I took some courses on Skillshare skillshare.eqcm.net/xkb1J3, Udemy, and watched some tutorials on YT.
for some reason my scale in layer weight is not working like yours, it goes from 0.10 to 0.00000010 to change and looks bad...
@@DSX001USER send me a screenshot of your nodes. I'll try to figure out what's going on
You can also download the project and compare to yours
@@kbrender thanks for the help, i find a way to make the energy appears moving another nodes hahah

@@badshahrebaban69 I'm not very familiar with Maya. Sorry!
