I find $20 per month for Sunsama a bit overpriced. For that I get a Monday and ClickUp subscription together and these two apps have _significantly_ more features. For tasks I still find Todoist the best choice, but you have to find a system that works for you. Carl Pullein's Time Sector system is the best for me at the moment as it has a completely different approach to planning tasks.
Definitely, I don't use any teammates it's just me. I actually like that cause some tools basically break if you don't have multiple team mates.. or rather they're really stupid ui etc when there is a single user. I never notice that problem with sunsama
Do you have any plans to do a Sunsama vs. Akiflow video? I did a quick search and didn't find anything. Might be obvious which one gets the nod from you, but I'd still love to hear the logic behind that choice.
It would be fantastic if Sunsama would fully work on the ipad. Maybe it's changed since the last time I used it but you were not able to have the same view as you do on a pc.

Went to Sunsama from Things 3 a few months ago and initially was concerned about the lack of API from Things in order to use them together. Turns out I really did not need both and I have found a way to do it all with Sunsama. I thought I would need a separate tool to break down projects into tasks and then move the tasks into Sunsama for the overall management of my time. So far it has not been an issue. Francesco, I am sincere in asking: How do you use Bento along with Sunsama? Thanks in advance for answering. 🙏
The lack of projects or grouping tasks has been my issue with Sunsama too. How did you overcome this? I currently use weekly priorities to keep projects together and be aware of goals and manage tasks day by day.
@@joethegreen I think it comes down to using weekly objectives as you say, along with using sub tasks and putting longer term tasks in the Backlog. Having said all that there are times when it would be able to go look at tasks grouped together as a project, but for me at least, not as often as I thought I would. If I really find I need to create that view for projects I would use the free version of Trello to accomplish that and then just move them into Sunsama as I need to. Hope that helps.
Aren’t they complementary? Sunsama has a Todoist integration. I find Sunsama good for planning my work but not for reminders. For instance I don’t want to plan my side tasks as I plan my work.
I agree. I tried Sunsama and I'm not sure how to make it work yet. I use Todoist and Toggl Track for time management. I wish I could get a better understanding to make it work.
They are complimentary yeah, I use both and I NEED both. And sunsama integration is amazing (complete tasks in one they complete in another) and there's some things todoist does way better (recurring tasks like "every second thursday" work better). And recurring tasks work differently between the todo (sunsama works like a calendar does with recurring, uncompeted task build up (eg pay rent, if you miss it three times in a row, you still have to oay rent three times) todoist creates next item after current is completed (eg take a shower, doesnt stack, if i dont showerfor three weeks, i just take one shower not the in a row), both are needed. Sunsama has gained quite a few new features since I started using it a year ago. Todoist doesn't change but has an open api and is free
Indeed. I switched from Things3 (best looks) back to ToDoist, in order to be able to integrate into Sunsama. Todoist is where I now capture everything and rank priorities, then move to Sunsama for timeblocking.
I’m a cosmetic nursing student and wondered which one you would recommend for me? I’m a single mum and I also study a business/entrepreneurship course and a cosmetic tattoo course. 😊
Oh I should say I’m about to give birth in two weeks as well. So life is very full. I became single two days after getting pregnant… and I am hunting for a note taking app that is available over Mac desktop, iPhone and iPad and my windows laptop. I find one note very boring and uninspiring. Notion gave me a free premium account as I have a .edu email

Todoist has the possibility to become the better Sunsama, only the Todoist developers don't seem to know that.
They are more worried about being the winners of the next UI experience. They stopped adding new productivity features when they changed their prizes.
@@JohanTualomboG When did they change their prices? how much were they before?
Sunsama is like 4x more expensive. For what it's worth, Todoist(and Ticktick) still wins
I agree.
Hi! Just out of curiosity: Are you continuing to use Sunsama, or have you changed again to todoist (now the todoist has a calendar option, etc.)

He using Todoist apparently how Sunsama approaches task organization. But with Todoist, yes, you have to CREATE YOUR OWN SYSTEM.
From the thumbnail it’s looks like you moved from Sunsama to Todoist 😅
Can Sunsuma also be used for small project management projects, typically projects that don’t involve teams?
Definitely, I don't use any teammates it's just me. I actually like that cause some tools basically break if you don't have multiple team mates.. or rather they're really stupid ui etc when there is a single user. I never notice that problem with sunsama
I find that the price is prohibitive. Very hard to justify that high price, IMO. I’ll stick with TickTick. Thank you for making the video, though.
I use Sunsama with Todoist as my backlog.
Same. Todoist is my Quick Capture and Backlog. Still use Asana for PM with the business.
Do you have any plans to do a Sunsama vs. Akiflow video? I did a quick search and didn't find anything. Might be obvious which one gets the nod from you, but I'd still love to hear the logic behind that choice.
20€ for a todo-app? Dont think so.
the problem is that the programs do not have good apps neither Akiflow, Sunsama or motion.
Can I get why you left todoist in points?
Sunsama costs 20 $ per mounth, it is too much.
Tick tick has the same core features, and still, it's way cheaper. Don't see any apparent reason paying $20 per month
It would be fantastic if Sunsama would fully work on the ipad. Maybe it's changed since the last time I used it but you were not able to have the same view as you do on a pc.
I agree! Until Sunsama improves ipad app, I’ve been safari to access their web version as a workaround.
NOOOOOO!!! I've followed you for so long! We're going to miss you! I'm sure I'll still come to this channel for other productivity purpose though :)

Dude, using so many different software tools to organize your work, do you still have time to actually work? :)
Steven did not sync your lips to the audio. Fyi

I’m also starting to use Shovel app on my Mac and iPhone and iPad to block my time etc I’ve downloaded to-do-ist and was about to set it up

Sunsama os the best , or at least could be … major flow ( for me ) is that you can’t use with exchange and iCloud accounts
