I was there. No spectator could see a thing even the very VIP groups (guests invited by big corporations). We all watched it on the TV screens. Mine was small and hung low. I thought they would do a couple of shows on the boats so that spectators could see part of it in real. France spent a lot to please the world but it was not fair to those who paid big money to support the Opening and their own countries. My ticket was €1,600. I left halfway of the Ceremony. On the next morning I was watching Beijing 2008 in my hotel room, feeling proud.
