We adopted a kitten a year ago that we now believe is an Egyptian Mau cross. She has the dorsal line, large ears, mascara and tilted eyes, spots on her back that are on on the top of the hairs, long neck, long tail, and the characteristic longer back legs. She does have white paws, which are probably from the cross. We noticed she looked different as she grew into an adult. She has now since had a set of kittens and several of them have spots. One thing I noticed about these kittens is they jumped like they had springs in their feet. At 7 weeks they could jump nearly two feet high. We couldn't keep them in a welping box meant for puppies once they realized they could jump toward the top and pull themselves over the edge. Momma cat has the unusual habit of bringing me her favorite toys. When I throw them she runs and fetches them. She's done this in the middle of the night, dropping her toy on the bed.
