Wouldn't that be obstruction on the 3rd base because now the runner dosent have a lane ?

Great play but surprised in second attempt that third baseman does not shorten up on run down throw. She is standing still on the catch. She should moving towards the ball to help close the gap to runner. Not good rundown footwork defensively. But, again, the play itself is very good.

Good teaching video, coach.
Instead of using the NAMES of the PLAYERS involved, it would be more helpful, I think, to use the DEFENSIVE POSITIONS involved.
Similarly, on offense, use BATTER, RUNNER ON FIRST, etc.
Otherwise, very well done teaching aid.

This is kind of old news. With today's rules, there will be obstruction at third if you work it that way. 2021
