Recreating effects by following along with your tutorials is like playing a video game for me - hours of engagement - except that when I'm done, I've actually produced something useful. Love it.
Thank you Simon for providing these tutorials. It's a wonderful way to learn more about the power of Motion. Also a good way for me to make best use of yet another lockdown.
Dear Simon . It was great to hear your voice again for this elaborated tutorial . I worked it out until you imported the particles project . It looks already fantastic as it is . But looking forward to learn how to make the particles(no pressure). Thanks Simon
hey Simon! can you please help me out with this? How much RAM does apple motion need? and does it run smoothly with the base MacBook Air M1 or should I opt for the 16Gb version? Please help me out with this! Thank you!!!!
Apple recommends the following for running Motion: macOS 10.15.6 or later 4GB of RAM (8GB recommended for 4K editing, 3D titles and 360° video editing) Metal-capable graphics card 1GB of VRAM recommended for 4K editing, 3D titles and 360° video editing1 4.7GB of available disk space (3.5GB for the app, 1.2GB for supplemental content) Of course, the more resources you can throw at it the more you will be able to get realtime performance with complex projects. It all depends on how hard you are wanting to push the application.
Thank you for asking. I should have put a link in the comments. You can find it here: hawaiki.co/superglow.html I recommend it not only because I was involved in designing it but also because it's such an extremely powerful and creative tool. I don't any longer have any financial involvement with it so my recommendation comes without that bias. There is even a free watermarked trial version if you simply want to try it out.
@@SimonUbsdell Yes it's a bit wordy isn't it. How about, "Another New Group" by itself? If you were skint for ideas you could also use it for your musical endeavours when you teamed up with someone else in a band. ;-) You should treat these as silly suggestions as I'm just a bit stir crazy after 8 weeks of lockdown in Sydney. The tutorial is a welcome distraction. Thank you.

@@SimonUbsdell what a pitty.. I would have loved to support you personally by purchasing the plugin. Many thanks for the link.
That's very kind of you. Thanks again.
Could you wager a guess as to why the "Line Spacing" parameter does not seem to apply to the text in this project? (Assuming you do 2 lines that is)
You need to select all the lines of text to which you want the line spacing to apply (with the Text Tool selected).
@@SimonUbsdell damn, would have never gotten that idea myself, thank you kindly!
My pleasure.
If you ever do T-shirts I think you should go with, "And I'm going to make another new group..."
Good idea. Although as catchphrases go it does lack a certain something ...

have you thought about doing an asteroid tutorial
I'd be happy to take a look at doing one if you want to post a link for the sort of look you mean.
