The LEDs are edge lit and have less than 100 dimming zones, while the Mini-LED has independent led bulbs and over 200 dimming zones. Not specific, but at least paints a better idea of the difference.
Well the QNED is a mini led. But there is QNED led as well, which I'm guessing is what mean. Differs between TVs, but usually double the nits I believe.
Sorry, I haven't personally seen the TCL, so can't really answer this authoritively. Other than to say TCL, Hisense and the like generall offer decent bang for buck.

I'd opt for the mini-LED. Basically, it gives the TV better pixel control, meaning more dimming zones and less light blooming. Or in short, better contrast and deeper blacks.
I beleieve the QNED by itself is still backlit, where as the QNED Mini-LED offers the greater brightness and accuracy of having mini-LED lighting. I stand to be corrected though, it is confusing.

In many respects it could come down to the OS. For example, the Samsung OS is a mess. LG OS is pretty good imo as is Sony, but they are different. Could come down to personal preference there.

The reason I'm sick about this buy is because my plasma has true RGB colors compared to ink orange reds like on all LeDs models and mine plasma is 3D. Now because the industry has decided to screw the 3D watcher with blue ray disks we all purchased for their products , now the same industry is changing us the same and giving us less. Disgusting and disrespectful. The U.S. needs to build its on TVs again.
Wow, that must have been a long-surviving beast of a TV. Lot of the 3D viewing now is going into VR headsets. Experiences like the one picthed by Apple Vision Pro. Expensive though.
If i was buying a LED TV, i would only choose Sony. The X95L, Bravia 7 or Bravia 9. Sony year after year have the best picture thanks to the XR processor, mediatek chipset and software. LG leads the way in OLED televisions, but Sony with mini led

For upscaling and so forth, the new Alpha 11 processor likely means you'll get a better eeprience from the 2024 variant.

They all have 4k upscaling I believe - it's part of the AI that drives the entire 2024 range.

It's a mix between sizes and regions. For example, I believe the 98-inch QNED89T is VA, while the 86-inch model QNED90T and QNED91T are IPS.

Between, LG QNED88T and Bravia3, which one would you choose for content viewing...? Not a gamer.
I haven't personally used either, but from my understanding in the briefs, the Bravia 3 is entry level, so you may get a bit more value out of the LG.
It's a shame they didn't put the model numbers on each TV...I still don't even know which model the 98" far left one was...
It's the 98QNED89 mate. They did have little plaques up, but you couldn't see them unless up close.

@@keponen331 Depends on the size of the screen I think. That model I believe starts at 900 dimming zones, and hits 1500 in the largest size.

88T is also an edge lit model as seen on their website. It is India specific model similar to 85T(USA) and 86T(Europe).

55 inch 65 inch 75 inch and so on mini LED TCL C755 series is much better than this and value for money.
Not sure if it's much better, but I do think brands like TCL and Hisense are offering compellng value for money options. Quality is still good.

I did the best I could in the conditions and fixed up the audio in post as much as I could. Not ideal, but still better than nothing.
