Hi there, thanks for all the interest & kind words :) For those asking about where they can get the album etc; I've uploaded this to Bandcamp just now if you'd like to support me (see description), I've no plans currently to do physical copies although I may look at this in the future. Currently just working on some new music when time allows so stay tuned.
How did you make this music? VSTs? Real Instruments? Hardware Effects? Would like to buy a LP in future of your stuff, to sample it in my mpc. Keep it up
You should send this in to some labels. This is seriously some of the best fantasy synth I've heard in a while. I'd recommend making an Instagram account and sending it to labels there. Cheers!!!
Funny that you say so! I was walking the forest with this on the ear, and i found an abaondoned cabin filled w8th alot of 90's tech. Balancing through the forest with my ikeabags filled with the scavenged stuff, with this music, was epic! The music aligned perfectly to every little move and hiccup as well! ⚡💯⚛️
Few dungeon synth albums reach this level of composition and sound experimentation (IMHO). I was a bit bored of this genre... what a breath of fresh air!
@@sothis1448 this is the kind of opinion that stops music from evolving, fanbases from growing and people from enjoying things. who cares what "true dungeon synth" is!!
@@itsBOUBAKA What you don't understand is that the genre already peaked and has not evolved past the year 2000, this here is imitation music, nothing special.
This got recommended to me because I listened to Might & Magic III soundtrack (MT-32). Figured that if I leave a comment here, the algorithm will boost the video
On the couch with a NES controller in the hand, VHS tape from Blockbuster on the counter and a good day ahead.... Nostalgia is a helluva druuuuuuug 😂 Awesome stuff!
"From a dream awoken" is excellent, a great start to the album. I am enjoying writing as I listen to this. As far as Dungeon Synth I've come across lately, I like the fact your music is more melodic than strictly ambient/atmospheric. Great stuff!
the opening IS excellent, and I dig the minimalism of these first tracks, and the 8 bit influence. So far this is one of the top dungeon albums I have heard, not that I have heard tons.
I came by accident here but what a surprise! Your music/melodies, and synth sounds are from another world. I play for 30 years with analog synths and althrough the sounds are digital no one knows it if you don't know it. And in fact it doesnt matter your sound is so "special" like from outer space :-) I just bought your album on bandcamp and gave a little bit extra cause this sounds so refreshing. Keep on going. Regards from Belgium ;-)
Thanks! It's mainly a few fairly typical subtractive synth VSTs with reverb and tape vsts on the end, and some creative use of delays & pitch shifters for the weirder sounds :)
Now this is something different in a generally more or less stagnant genre where most play a couple of ambient pads and call it a day. This focuses more heavily on the "synth" part and you can actually hear some synthesis going on instead of plain old presets. I really enjoyed the sounds and the tunes. Do i hear some Kirkwood vibes here and there as well? Great work, keep it up!
Just awesome. What are your libraries? I love this sound. Like a tape. I use BBC Orchestra and LABS mainly, with some digital tape, but I don't have sounds like this. Well done.
Upon hearing this I was swept back to the late 1970's and early 80's as it's so much like the soundtracks of scifi TV shows as well as being great atmospheric music for OSR games like D&D. 👍 Thanks for giving me the slice of memory
I'm so glad I came across your music ! Your album has so many unique sounds and ambiences, the melodies really speaks to me. I feel like It's a mix of so many great influences from Nobuo Uematsu to even Karlheinz Stockhausen or some old electronic music ! Keep it up !
Okay man i lost it in ,,In the Court of the Count" this stuff is just next level, you truly outdone yourself. I have listened to enough Dungeon Synth to know that yours is just special. Placing this album in my top tier list. Thank you for your wisdom wizard!
Hi, if you mean physical copies I don't have plans for that at the moment, but may do in future. I've just setup a Bandcamp (see description) if you'd like to support me that way :)
I love dark, martial dungeon synth as much as the next gal, but I'm ENCHANTED to find something so different-- it's etheral, otherworldly & kinda unsettling. What a gem! What an absolute treasure.
Have you thought of putting this on Spotify? I have no idea what the process is like, so maybe it's too difficult, but I'd be so happy to see it on there!
Amazing work! Reminds me of so many things. Old games, old life back in the 90s/early 2000s, Magic and mysticism! Really evokes a bunch of awesome feelings!
man if you composed these your really on to somethingXD this is verry similar to a lot of the supper nostalgic things people really like about old games. keep this up my dude
Interesting...in the right circles....in addition, what an interesting title to a song as well 😌...tells a little something about my personality as well 🤭😂🤣....if you're here, you'll understand 😉
I clicked on this album thinking it wouldn't be anything special. Thanks for making a fool of me. The album was a blast. Reminds me of Quest Master, one of my favorites! Which this now gets to be next to!
This is so nice, The album went to my TH-cam wall because I looked for tesla delicia keyboard. Are you using one? Just curiosity :) keep doing your music please, luv it

:)

YOOOO ERANG
getting compliments from Erang is like Rodger Federer complimenting your tennis skills. what a legend.

Damn now I feel old as hell.

This is everything I'm looking for in dungeon synth. This is extremely good music. Well done Slefnwald, good form

Absolutely epic and so dreamy! This is what I’ve been searching for!
This is fantastic and immaculate. It's like Plantasia but done by a dark wizard on a starry night (with all respect) it's breathtaking.
Never heard of Plantasia before but just had a brief listen and that is a 10/10 recommendation friend
I’ve been listening to this obsessively. It’s inspired a really fun creative project!
I really like this.
This is truly incredible. I cannot believe how good this is.
It so beautiful to me, brings tears to my eyes
