I enjoyed having a tadpole recumbent similar to yours about 15 years ago. I own an electric bicycle now, and do the same as you: getting a coffee at 6 a.m. and riding at a slow pace through town (Dunedin, New Zealand). Arizona seems to have the ideal climate.

Hello from Arizona! Yes, that's the way to go, slow and steady, enjoying some coffee and some beautiful weather! Life is good

Just so you'll know....during the summer of 2024 Phoenix, Arizona had a streak of 113 days in a row with temperatures at or above 100 degrees fahrenheit or 37.7778 celsius with many of those days above 110 degrees F. And that's only the consecutive days streak. There are plenty of other 100 degrees or more days. It's bloody hot there.

@@1ouncebird Yes! I'm an old desert rat, and have learned to deal with the heat as much as possible. My rides are always just after sunrise, and the only time I need to wait a bit is in the winter, when the temps in the morning can get to freezing, or below. I can deal with the heat, up to the 90s, but not the cold (I must have very thin blood!)

@@BradHall You are smart to go out early on the hot days. You are also much more hardy than me. I can't take the heat. I'm a hot temperature wimp. Your bike looks very nice and looks to be a fun ride. Enjoy.

@@1ouncebird Where I grew up, in Minnesota, you'd be a tough guy, like my brothers who enjoyed winter sports while I sat in the house shivering! When I turned 18 I bought a car, then figured out which way was west, and the only time that I've been uncomfortable is when the weather, even in Southern California (where I lived for ten years) turned a bit chilly.
