I have a Harsey designed Ruger (CRKT) belt sheath folder, bigger than that, used only once on a cold, snowy winter day. I didn't have to take my gloves off to use it.

I personally like to carry a knife with a 3.25 to 3.75 inch blade. Definitely an awesome looking beast! (Although not a huge fan of the cut outs in the blade. They kind of go against the design and steel might get caught in them when stabbing through a car door. 😂) I definitely wouldn't let that stop me from buying it though. Great video Frankie and Bird!

I like large knives...but this design is a, No! And the price is ridiculous. The biggest knife that I carry now is the Kizer Sheepdog XL Carbon. Nice review though.

For the paper cut tests y'all do, you should start using the same paper that Zac used in the blade show cut test contest, that way you are training all year for the next cut test competition! We all learned that it is the technique as well as blade sharpness that makes good cuts. Can't just go slicing willy-nilly.
The ESEE-6 is an actual pound @ 16oz.! The biggest knife I usually carry is the Benchmade 810 Contego & usually only when I'm in camp or working on hiking staffs. Its permanent home is in my hiking/camping backpack. So I suppose for EDC the Manix-2 is the largest I carry on the regular.

Yeesh. I personally don’t see the point of knives like this beyond makers just making them because they can. When you get to that size might as well just strap on a fixed blade. Definitely a conversation starter.
These knives are meant to be what they are not to be “scaled down” to smaller versions because if that was the case they wouldn’t be what they are. There are thousands of scaled down knives to carry but these need to stay HUGE to be what they are! Completely unnecessary and amazing pieces of titanium 😂🤙🏼
It’s bad ass, but they could have engineered it with a nice choil to allow you to choke up on it. It’s one of the things I don’t like about most Medfords.
@@BirdShotIV not absolutely. It's still a beautiful chunk of titanium and M390 steel! It's more or less comparable to a Medford Praetorian Ti. Just a bit longer overall, roughly 3 ounces lighter, but only about one-third of the price!! The pros. seem to outweigh the cons. at this point. But I do love my flippers! I only have a small collection of just over 100 premium, production and mid-tech folders. Fewer than 10 are non-flippers (when including my automatics).
That's a CHONKER... To thick on the handle and blade. To heavy. Get rid of the speed holes in the blade and make it a full flat grind. Not surprised at the price. Good review guys, thanks. Definitely not my cup of tea.

Was playing with my new Midgard Messer Hermod, a very similar knife, just a bit... more! ;) Oh, I carry anything from my District 9 Catastrophe to the Espada xl and any of a dozen Strider clones, an occasional Spanish navaja... Those are the ones that never come out in public, unless I must. For the everyday chores, I can use my key-chain knives which work quite well, while leaving my "battle knives" razor sharp and out of sight. It occurs to me that I probably should carry el-cheapo M-tech or Tac Force or something for my 'battle blade' because I might think twice about tossing my District 9 or Espada and cleaning the blood from all that milling on my Messer would be... tedious, at best. We did stab ours thru a car door, stupid memory card was full so of course it didn’t make the video.
