    Awesome, ive been at it for 10 years and last month was my worst month in 5 years! I did sell $1,400 on ebay so that helped. Hopefully Dec is going to be better

    • @clutterreductionjunkremoval
      @clutterreductionjunkremoval  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Same for me, as of this year atleast, my previous worst month was May of this year but I was doing the moving part time so it didn't matter much. I want to get into selling on eBay more but it seems like such a pain.

    • @Cris_V_00
      @Cris_V_00 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@clutterreductionjunkremoval ebay is a pain because each item needs a decent listing. Then there is packaging and running them to the post office. IMO It was worth it for high value items or alot of the same items that require one listing.

    • @TheNinjaPicker
      @TheNinjaPicker ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@clutterreductionjunkremoval It takes a long time to not throw out valuable things. I still do it myself. Best advice I can give to start is to limit the size of the items to a large shoe box. The hardest part after you figure out what sells is charging the right shipping. I made a few old videos that may give you some ideas but the best guy to watch (even if you cant sit through his long videos is Osborne2thrift and the beardedpicker) there are a few more. Heck maybe I will make a video for beginners soon. I also try not to list anything under $20 and shoot for plus $30

      @@Cris_V_00 You are right. I think the way to look at it is per hour pay. Today I listed a signed football for $325. Total time involved is going to be 1 hour. Listing 5 $30 items in a hour with another hour to ship is worth it for most. Its all a numbers game👍

    • @clutterreductionjunkremoval
      @clutterreductionjunkremoval  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Cris_V_00 exactly my thoughts. My dad was really savvy with it 15 years ago, sold A LOT. And my brother used to do it for custom Gameboys he would make. But both things I noticed was the packaging and logistics can be a pain. If it's your full time gig, that's one thing, but as a side selling, I just imagine it would be rough

    How do you price out bagging up items? Im trying to figure that out with my business

  • @shaynew8992
    @shaynew8992 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    When you say “clean up” what are you referring to? Isn’t the whole job a clean up. Just curious with the up charge on the contractor bags

    • @clutterreductionjunkremoval
      @clutterreductionjunkremoval  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So a clean out would be like picking up a bunch of small misc stuff like books, decor, paper, trash, etc.. using contractor bags to contain that vs tossing a bunch of loose items into the truck. The charge for the contractor bags is just a cover for that materials that you otherwise need to buy to supplement that job.

    How often do you have to go into attics when you do these jobs? Can you say no to attics and crawl spaces if you don’t feel comfortable doing that?

    • @clutterreductionjunkremoval
      @clutterreductionjunkremoval  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've only gone in 3 attics in all my time of JR. None of them from clean outs though.
      If you're not comfortable, than say no 🤷 but it may cost you an estimate if its asked of. If they need to hire a second person to do that because you won't then it would probably just be easier & cheaper for them to do someone else who will do both.
      Why wouldn't you feel comfortable?

      Yep if it’s on your truck, it’s yours to do with what you want. Sell stuff, keep stuff if it’s worth it to you, donate stuff if it’s worth donating and you can’t really sell it. Not everything has to go to the dump.
