    I recall from a geology class that the angle of repose was different for every aggregate and soil type it was the angle that the material would naturally fall at. Is the 45 your referring to for load distribution only?

      @@tawfiqmohammed9800 My assumption is that for the sake of the video he used 45° as a good baseline number. Most of your soils will be around 45° some go into the lower 20s°. It depends alot on soil type and moisture.
      For the sake of the video picking a nice easy number that people are familiar with just made sense and helped for the demonstration. In real life the angle of repose will vary and more likely be shallower, < 45°.
