I’m not a religious person. I really appreciate the music since it has a heavy feel and doesn’t rely on violent or explicit lyrics. The chord progression makes my heart move and gets me through workouts and coping with hard times. My favorite song off Rated R is “The Suffering”. A heavy riff song that has one of the best bridge segments they’ve composed. They are my favorite band. I’ll always appreciate them.
It's awesome to hear how much the music resonates with you! "The Suffering" truly is a standout track. Music has a powerful way of connecting with us during tough times.
Michael says there may be a part two to "The Redeemers." YES!!! I'd volunteer to be an extra in a heartbeat. It's funny how I got into Red. We showed up late at a concert where they were opening and we caught the tail end of their last song. But Michael sang with Third Day on the song, "Slow Down (if my memory serves me correctly)." My wife isn't much of a heavy rocker, but she looked the band up on TH-cam. Next thing I know, she told me she wanted to buy one of their albums. We bought Until We Have Faces and have been following them since. But I have never seen them in concert, sadly.
Love the Rated R album. A true masterpiece in every way. Emergency is definitely my favorite track as well. I grew up with Christian bands like Petra and Whiteheart. And artists such as Michael W. Smith and Jeremy Camp. I'm so glad Michael mentioned some of his inpirations in Christian music. Alter Bridge and Tremonti are two of my favorites but RED is simply the best.. God Bless you guys. Keep on rocking.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's amazing to hear how the Rated R album resonates with you and how it connects to your musical journey. Keep enjoying the music!

There is *one* shot of Michael with hair in the End of Silence behind the scenes feature I believe. 😅
You're right! That shot really stands out and gives us a glimpse of a different side of Michael. It's always fun to see behind the scenes!
RED is the best rock band on the planet all the more because of the fact that they love Jesus
Absolutely! RED's passion for music and their faith truly make them stand out in the rock scene.
