Crazy good feel and tone Jackie!! Any tips as to how to get that tone out of the Lakland 55-49? I know a lots to do with your playing but are you putting it through anything?
john railton ...Thanks brother! On this show I plugged straight into a B.S.S. active D.I. the amp wasn't miked so it's basically the EQ from from my Lakland! My biggest secret is where I have the mid freq selector(inside the control cavity) It's set to boost and cut at 250Hz...I'm boosting slightly at 250 to make the B string speak clearer in the low register.That's about it...the rest is where I place my hands and my touch I suppose...I play very light with medium action! Thanks again!

I'm a whole year late 🙂,but thanks! I'm the bassist. 🙂 The engineer only used a little of compression on my bass...he let me use the EQ from the bass because it's really musical, and I don't play loud onstage.(amp volume). Thanks again!
I love that she starts off her concert by introducing her band and back up singers. Shows her respect to the people she’s with on stage. Most concerts, they only get intro’d towards the end, almost like an after thought.
