That kabuto match was top tier gameplay. People like to say only koga wheezing decks take skill/ have outplay potential but that was a good showcase of micro mangaging and cycling hp
I’m not convinced by retreating Zebstrika. If they killed him you could have just sweep with pikachu. I think you lost a turn doing this. Momentum is more important than 1 prize I guess
Been running that exact deck but with electabuzz instead of pinchurin and a reg zapdos instead of a zapdos ex x 2. It has been very consistent and zebra being able to kill retreaters have sealed the deal for my opponents a LOT.
Yeah, I agree that regular zapdos is better. It preloads damage onto bench pokemon, which is great for Pikachu Ex to finish. It also counts as one card on a loss instead of two, and not to mention the RNG of the coin flip. Overall, it's a big win win.
I see a lot of people understimate zebstrika, sure electrode has free retreat but more often than not you need to round up the damage done by pika, people also misses that electrode needs 2 energy that could be put under a better use in another pikachu ex
electrode is mostly good played with the sergeant and raichu. but that kind of deck plays way too many evolutions that might conflict with the consistency of pikachu ex.
Oh wow, this is my exact deck right now! I always use Zebstrika to chip away hp from the mewtwos/dratini/dragonair/charmeleon until they're within range for my pikachu to sweep them!
Another banger. Its good to see some meta videos to compliment the off meta vids. Sad I missed the stream today, but I'll catch the next one for sure. I feel like going second in the Pikachu mirror is OP. Going first is still winnable though, especially if Zebstrika is live. Not sure if you've covered it yet, but the Moltres/Arcanine deck seems to be gaining some traction with Aerodactyl. Arcanine EX can get up to speed quick with Moltres, and one shots Pikachu EX. Might be worth checking out. EDIT: I just saw your video with Arcanine deck 😅
The really good players are great at pivoting and not letting you KO their super damaged mons. Zeb handles that issue AND is a 1 prizer so you can cycle your pika to save hp. It’s just a tech card that’s great for handling. An example of this. In the mirror pika does 110 to Zap on a full bench. They retreat to their pika to damage you. You retreat into Zeb, take two prize cards and are a Sabrina away from winning with pika after they kill Zeb.
Zeb can attack both benched and active pokemon and with one cost you can deal 50 damage if your opponent has zap on the active spot in a pika mirror match which is very versatile unlike hitmonlee who can only hit benched mons while greninja can hit benched and active mons but only fixed to 20 damage
Good video however I would of liked to see some gameplay against Mewtwo, thats this decks hardest matchup. I've played hundreds of games with Pikachu EX at this point in numerous tournaments, tried multiple combinations, zapdos, raichu, pincurchin, zebstrika, electrobe and I still can't find any way to consistently beat Mewtwo. You just have to pray they can't get a grady online otherwise there's no way to trade them and I very rarely come up against someone who can't get gardy online with two mewtwo's. Nothing in this deck can trade/tank the 150 damage. Have you had any better luck? I have no problem with any other decks just Mewtwo.
yes, using sabrinas to pivot in an option that gets knocked out after taking out one of their mew2's also zapdos is almost always the way for a mew2 match up. u get online 1 turn faster if they dont have garde
this game will never have a meta because all the games are decided by coinflips. pikachu is just a easy set up deck that does not require evolving so that make its consistent. all the state 2 decks and misty decks are inconstant so they dont win as often. thats all it comes down to.
That's the same argument people use to say "Poker is a game of luck". But it's almost the same player a t the top of the game every year for roughly 25 years now...
Auto pilot is dumb as hell, watch it play it's terrible. Coi flips are a staple of pokemon cards, that's how card games work. Risks and RNG factors always been there always will be. SNAP replaced coin flips with location/card effect just random RNG. SNAP is an amazing game but it has literally rotted peoples brain on how card games have and always will be lmao.
I’m starting to play and I really want to use pikachu and wanted to use dendenne in my deck do you think it’ll be good to replace with pinc or should I keep pinc?
Love your videos but why do you use definitely one of my favorite archetype decks out of aggro, control, ramp, stall, and combo decks in Pokemon Pocket in each deck video?
pikachu EX deck LOL, nothing new. hoped some tournament in the future banned pikachu and mewtwo ex. tournament are boring to watch this two deck are most used deck you see at tournament, no creativity for most participant.
When they add more cards it will be way better, but I have to agree it's a bit boring rn seeing only Mewtwo and Pikachu decks being used by majority of people.
Then what? They ban Pikachu & Mewtwo then Charizard & Starmie becomes the next meta, then you'll whine about Charizard and Starmie being too op hoping those two will get banned. I agree Pikachu & Mewtwo (I'd argue Pikachu is way better than Mewtwo, Idk why people keep putting them in the same tier) are a problem but that's just how meta is.
Regardless of what they banned a new meta will pop up only thing you can do competitively is build an anti meta deck the problem with that is most anti meta decks are rogue decks dat can take out meta but lost to almost everything else., soon they will drop more cards and power creep will happened and then they will turn around a buff some of the old cards to make em relevant again and it almost always the most random cards that no one used to being with 😂😂
I use the Pika / Zapdos / Electrode deck. But I too like Pinchorchin or what ever it's called. Plenty of big dogs like Venu, Lapras, Machamp I just stalled by paralyze. Electrode / voltorb for the free retreat and switcheroo for my fully charged Pika to strike back. Gonna give Zebstrika a chance though instead of Electrode / Voltorb.
That kabuto match was top tier gameplay. People like to say only koga wheezing decks take skill/ have outplay potential but that was a good showcase of micro mangaging and cycling hp
Thanks so much. I was really hoping people would see/notice that instead of just saying “ez deck” lol. Glad you liked it!
@ Cheers m8 good stuff keep up the good vids

I think there was a misplay and coulda won with pika earlier too
In second last game you should have used sabrina and switch into pikachu to kill wartortle and u would have won even earlier
Watching you win that Kabutops game showed me how much I still need to learn. That was wild to watch.
& people say its a simple game lol. Glad you enjoyed the game!

Am I missing something or was there a missed Win at 19:12? Could have retreated into Pikachu and Sabrina'd Wartotle.
Your right. He could have won by sabrina'ing wartortle. Good catch.
This 1st Place Pikachu EX Deck WON a Huge 1000 Player Tournament! - Pokemon Pocket
Hi Xatu(mi), can you try 2 hypno on bench and 2 nonEx articuno, for the sleep from the bench and paralyze after attacking with articuno?
Check out that lonely fire deck going 6-2 though

19:10 could've already won if you retreat zeb to pikachu then sabrina the artic uno?
idk i dont like pinchurchin need 2 energy and squishy, zeb is good but i like raichu more no space for my deck
Did you miss lethal at 19:12? Retreat zeb, bring in pikachu, sabrina into Wartortle and hit for 110
Edit: ahh it's been pointed out by others
I’ve been running Pikachu EX but with Raichu/Lt. Surge/Pincurchin. I genuinely do not know when to use Pincurchin lol.
Is he playing on pc? Any thought on how to do that since my phone cant really handle the game
What is it about Zebstrika that makes you want to run it over Electrode and its zero retreat cost? Is it just because it can attack off of 1 energy?

It's also nice to have an evolution that only requires a single energy whenever you're going first.

Forgive my naivety. I wasn't aware that you can select the Pokemon that takes 30. Just realized after comparing it to Greninja.
pikas 90 damage + zeb's 30 onto anything, means if they retreat u can knock out 120's or even 150's in 2 turns
The sequence at 12:00 is absolute sex, nicely done
Just found your channel, love jt! Keep it up ❤
thanks so much!

Blows that I have yet to pull a zapdos just need 2 of em to complete my Pikachu team.
I cannot open a Zapdos Ex after exclusively opening Pikachu decks forever
Just reroll. Got 2 pikas and one zaptos in my first 20 pulls.
Took me 2 restarts. Git lucky tho 😂
Hello is there any link to this pokemon tournaments?
Lost immediately on a pve vs lapras ex deck💀

The 2 most broken meta decks got 1st place, what a shocker...
still need a good pilot for the meta deck, that's who gets 1st place. not the deck, but the pilot of the deck
