I failed by 2 points and this also knocked my confidence. I immediately rebooked in the test area and now it’s tomorrow. Hopefully I pass as I passed the theory just failed hazard perception by 2
I passed my Theory Test first time last week; Wednesday 4th of May, at Southwark (45/50 on Theory and 57/75 on Hazard Perception ) I had booked my test on 20th of April and had literally just 2 weeks to prepare for it. Working 60 hours a week, it was bound to be tough, and honestly speaking, I had my doubts and wondered if it was a mistake. First 3 days, I wasted my time, literally going through google searches on "How to pass driving Theory Test" or "Tips/Tricks to pass Driving Theory Test". Finally, on day 4 I got the app "Theory 4 in 1" and went through "Mock Tests", every day. I was on average doing 8-10 Mock Tests every day, with each Mock Test having 50 questions, which means I was literally going through 400-500 Questions everyday. With just one week left, I was averaging 35-37 marks, in my Mock Tests. I had completely at that point, given up on Hazard Perception, focusing only on Theory Part. With just 3-4 days left, my average finally shot up to 45-47 marks. Whenever I got any questions wrong, I would write it in a sticky note and put it in my bathroom wall, kitchen wall, living room wall, bedroom wall and even on the fridge. I was going all out, going through those sticky notes, after waking up, before going to sleep, before eating, after eating, and even on brake time at work I would go through 2-3 Mock Tests. Finally, D-Day and at Southwark Centre, my heartbeat shot up and I prayed and prayed, if only I had given myself more than 2 weeks, maybe I should've prepared for at least 6-7 weeks, so that I'd be more confident. Once I sat inside, and started my test, I reckon I was 100% sure with only 38 questions, meaning I had flagged 12 questions to come back later and go through them. I was praying all I need is 5 questions to be right. for the Hazard Perception, I was very focused, because it's mainly about spotting the Hazard, so you just spot it early and get 2 clicks and count to 2, then 2 clicks and then count to 2, then 2 clicks again. After I came out, I was like - Jesus I flopped, I guess, I'll go home and book it again, but when the guy gave me the paper, I didn't even look at it for few minutes, only once I got to the bus stop that I checked and shouted sooo loudly, Hurraayyyy. Even I was shocked; 45/50, like WOW. But, what shocked me even more was Hazard Perception, where I got 57/75
This was fun to read thanks for sharing! Have my test on the 28th and I'm using the same app. Only been doing a few mock tests, I am going to use your method of grinding mocks and writing down questions i get wrong :D
I failed my theory test four times because I didn’t study but when I put my head down and study for five weeks I passed and yesterday I passed my extended driving test 1st time so Keep the faith
Taiba Zahir Nearly all question are similar to the mock test on DVSA app, just different wording. So if you just memorize the questions and answer you should be fine. The I hazard prescription test was easy cuz the video are slow af, felt like I was in my gramma car plus you can easily identify what is a hazard cuz it was literally screaming at you.
Kieran G my instructor said to me is as soon as you see a hazard, click the mouse, wait 2 seconds and click again just to make sure you get it as if you click a little too soon the system doesn’t count it I made that mistake on my first time, I clicked them way to soon, so click it when you think it’s a ‘hazard’ then click again after 2 seconds to make sure you don’t miss it
4:27 One way you can use the table without having to write it out is by taking the speed -20 then /10 then *0.5 and +2 and then you multiply your speed with that answer i.e. for 70 mph 70-20 = 50 /10 =5 *0.5 = 2.5+2 =4.5 4.5 *70 = 315feet
Not always a 2 second gap... depends on the weather conditions; Dry = 2 seconds, Wet = 4 seconds and Icy = a 20 second gap (10x normal). But Yeh, most of the questions are simple, if you dont know the answer just try going for the most sensible.
I have to take issue with your explanation at 2.14. You give the same explanation as the previous sign which is different. The sign with two vertical arrows pointing in opposite directions indicate that you are currently in a one way situation and ahead this ceases and the road you are on becomes a two way road. The two way traffic is not passing across your path as indicated in the diagram. This sign is most often found where a dual carriageway ceases and becomes two way traffic. The two way traffic crossing sign is used where a one way street ends in a T-Junction.

Started in september and failed 12 times. Keep rebooking it though. I pass hazard and perception every time bar the time when i passed the multiple choice. typical. So close every time. I just find it hard sometimes and overthink alot. Really gets me down too.
The number 2 explanation at 2.05 seems somewhat incorrect, surely we are on a one way street or coming to the end of a dual-carriageway and then the road which we are on becomes a standard commonplace two way road. The two way traffic does not cross our path we simply then encounter oncoming traffic which we would not have previously. We should be aware of this sudden oncoming traffic hazard which previously did not exist.
Have my theory in a few hrs 🤞🏽 Edit: guys I passed with 4hrs of revision I wasn't passing my mocks until 20 minutes before the test 🤧 my advice don't stress and take the day of your test to revise 🤣
Good luck! Do some practice tests. Don't book your theory until you are consistently passing them. That's when you know you are ready to pass it. Flashcards are a great way to help lean - you can find free ones and get your family or friends to quiz you with them. If you know the highway code you are guaranteed to pass
Question 1, I did this a few weeks ago, i was driving a mini bus with children on, and hey guess what i was also 5 mph under the limit, but far too close to stop in a safe manner with children on. but then as i went through the lights which was just turning... The camera went off and i get finned.. And even though i had a dash cam showing this, it makes no difference. So next time the breaks go on and then you can explain to the parents why the children are injured.. Ive been driving for 39 years 27 of that in a HGV, and never had so much as a scratch or a bump. It's a bloody money spinner and you know it.. P.S I have also drove for the fire brigade and passed the defensive and advanced driving course.. These cameras are nothing but a HAZARD and a money grabber.. THEY DO NOT MAKE THE ROADS SAFER THEY'RE A DISTRACTION.
Big up, got my test in a couple hours;) Edit: passed it ! Good luck to everyone. Question on flashing ambers at pelican crossings and police signals came up for me
If your worried about the test, don't be, the hazard perception is very logical and as long as you focus hard and utilise the 10 clicks you can't really fail. Just worry about the multiple choice questions, especially the technical ones which you can't work out just using common sense
Sevgi Ates I didnt get asked any in this video but they were similar to the questions in the "Theory 4 in 1" App but worded a little different. There were also questions that I hadnt seen or learnt before so if you have yours booked, I would watch videos like these to find questions that arnt in the app
PandaChloeX I wouldn’t believe he passed with just common sense, either he got a really easy test or he’s done hours of revision, due to there being questions about colour lights on vehicles and their meanings, arm signals from other drivers etc. Don’t go into the test assuming every question is common sense as this video explains on the last few questions
@@cha4rlie423 congrats!! Just a quick question how much were you clicking in the hazard perception part and were the questions similar to any revision you did?
@@MrGang12345 for the hazard perception what you should do is click for every hazard, and then if that hazard develops then click around 3 times fairly separated apart. Braking Distance This sounds hard but isn't The equation is velocity (Speed) squared / 20 So 30 MPH is
30 X 30 / 20 = Braking Distance Now you could say 30 X 30 = 900 / 20 = 45 but it is much easier than that
30MPH 30 but just multiply by the first number of the speed = 3 So 30 X 3 = 90 then because your answer is 1/10th of what it should be then we only divide by 2 not 20 so 30 X 3 / 2 = 45
So the Overall Stopping Distance(OSD) is 20 + 45 = 65ft
now if its not just say the idea of 50 X 50 that confuses you and don't even like 50 X 5 there is a further simplification.
Just multiply the first digit by itself then add a 0
20MPH 2 X 2 = 4 add a 0 on = 40 / 2 = 20 + 20 Thinking Distance = 40ft OSD
30 MPH 3 X 3 =9 + a 0 =90 / 2 = 45 + 30 = 75ft
40 4 X 4 = 16 + a 0 = 160 / 2 = 80 + 40 = 120ft
50 5 X 5 = 25 + a 0 = 250 /2 =125 + 50 = 175ft

Thank you thank you thank you today i watched your video and i have passed my theory test it was my third time and your guidness really help full brother keep it continue ❤️❤️
Just passed mine and this video really helped! Thank you so much. Phew!😅
A F how hard was it ?
@@archicisco7751 it wasn't that hard - most questions are common sense. If you study, you would find most questions would be similar on the exam.
This is amazing, thank lord you make this video. Great job
I passed today, thank you so much for your help! 😁
Thanks for this. I got 50/50 in my theory test 🙂
Wow nice mate
Started in september and failed 12 times. Keep rebooking it though. I pass hazard and perception every time bar the time when i passed the multiple choice. typical. So close every time. I just find it hard sometimes and overthink alot. Really gets me down too.
Wardle16193 12 times🤣 just give up on driving I’m sorry but that’s stupid
Money Man 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why mention this - just keep that aspect to yourself? So nobody knows that it is quite a dumb harded thing to do.
Don't worry hang in there. I've to do mine multiple times too cus of rubbish instructors for practical. As it expires!
what the fuck
Got my test in a few hours, hardly revised so this is very helpful, wish me luck lads
Did you pass ?
@@JTK.7 yeah it was surprisingly easy tbf
The number 2 explanation at 2.05 seems somewhat incorrect, surely we are on a one way street or coming to the end of a dual-carriageway and then the road which we are on becomes a standard commonplace two way road. The two way traffic does not cross our path we simply then encounter oncoming traffic which we would not have previously. We should be aware of this sudden oncoming traffic hazard which previously did not exist.
Got my test in 2 hours, barely revised😭. Update: passed with easeee
Good on ya. Got any tips
are the questions extremely similar to this?!
I got my theory test in two days wish me luck 🤞
Got mine in 3 hours ahhhhhhh
Saaameee
Got mine in an hour!
Tomorrow morning!
Hope you all passed! I have mine (again) tomorrow morning :)
I haven’t even got a provisional but I have a car lol
Omg,🥺🥺 why I didn't find this video before it's exactly the question I got in my first exam. 40/50 🤦♀️ New subscription #students International.
Thanks. Glad it helped. Good luck on your second exam - study well and you will pass
First theory test tomorrow 😩 great vid!
First time I came here cuz I have my theory the next day nd I fail it now am here again still have the test tomorrow..lol 🙏🙏
yes lad love this video haha thanks hope you have a wonderful life and that xx
That first question, the answer on the USA test is stop if you can do so safely and aren’t in the intersection
Have my theory in a few hrs 🤞🏽
Edit: guys I passed with 4hrs of revision I wasn't passing my mocks until 20 minutes before the test 🤧 my advice don't stress and take the day of your test to revise 🤣
On 11th of May is my number 3 Attempts of my Theory Test ! I won’t give up until I’ll pass it .
Good luck! Do some practice tests. Don't book your theory until you are consistently passing them. That's when you know you are ready to pass it. Flashcards are a great way to help lean - you can find free ones and get your family or friends to quiz you with them. If you know the highway code you are guaranteed to pass
@@TheCompleteGuide1 Thank you!
@@jennybasak9107 How'd it go?
@@benmayes2215 I failed again
My test is todayyyyyyyyy thanks youuuuu
All the best
Got my theory test in two days 🙏🏽
An easy way to remember the multiplication factor for stopping distances, half the first digit of the speed and add one
have my test tmr afternoon, failed first time 6 days ago got 41/50 in multiple and passed hazard w 59 marks :( lets hope to God I pass.
Good luck! If you study hard you will pass. Every answer is in the highway code book. If you know it you can't fail.
Test day tomorrow thank you man 💪🏼❤️
Great video, it's so helpful
Big up, got my test in a couple hours;) Edit: passed it ! Good luck to everyone. Question on flashing ambers at pelican crossings and police signals came up for me
Thanks. Good luck!
this is really helpful
Passed my theory test last week. I scored 48 on mcqs and 57 on hazard perception and none of these questions came up...🤦🏻♂️
This is completely Terrific! Thanks a Billion dude😉.
Glad i could help. Good luck with your test.
Thank you ❤
Got my exam in an hour just rewatching this quickly I’m hoping I’ll pass!
Nono Noora yeah 49/50 and 68/75 hazard perception
Gonna take a test soon :,) wish me luck
Great stuff, thanks a lot man
Thank you!
Excellent explanation
It’s me theory tomorrow and am so stressed nothing is sticking in my head!!
Good luck!
If your worried about the test, don't be, the hazard perception is very logical and as long as you focus hard and utilise the 10 clicks you can't really fail. Just worry about the multiple choice questions, especially the technical ones which you can't work out just using common sense
Just passed my theory test on my first try today :)
Was it similer to the questions in the youtube
Sevgi Ates I didnt get asked any in this video but they were similar to the questions in the "Theory 4 in 1" App but worded a little different. There were also questions that I hadnt seen or learnt before so if you have yours booked, I would watch videos like these to find questions that arnt in the app
BudgieLover 123 did you pass ?
Bro can you give me tips
Mine is on Wednesday ... fourth time lucky😇❤️
Callum Fitz-Patrick how did it go x?

@@Berserk_NJ bruh sound effect
Don’t be stupid look this video it has really good information 😁🤗
Thanks very good video
this video helped me pass first time!!!!!
Fml got mine today and haven’t done a minute of revision 😐
Edit: I PASSED LETS GOOO
Wow haha congratulations :)
Let’s go Champ
Well done :) but How did you pass with no revision? Just pure common sense?
PandaChloeX I wouldn’t believe he passed with just common sense, either he got a really easy test or he’s done hours of revision, due to there being questions about colour lights on vehicles and their meanings, arm signals from other drivers etc. Don’t go into the test assuming every question is common sense as this video explains on the last few questions
20mph = 40ft
30mph = 75ft (+35)
40mph = 120ft (+45)
50mph = 175ft (+55)
60mph = 240ft (+65)
70mph = 315ft (+75)
Me tonight having my test tomo😬
I will tell you how it goes later...
How did it go?
@@MrGang12345 passed, 45/50 and 65/75👍🏼
@@cha4rlie423 congrats!! Just a quick question how much were you clicking in the hazard perception part and were the questions similar to any revision you did?
@@MrGang12345 for the hazard perception what you should do is click for every hazard, and then if that hazard develops then click around 3 times fairly separated apart. As all the videos have the same concept if you keep practicing it you will do fine. I watched a video on the hazard perception the night before my test and it really helped me out and explained everything.
@@cha4rlie423 thank you for this! it’s made me feel a bit better. Am I right to assume we can click 3 times in a row but we have to leave a second gap between each click when we see the developing hazard?
Got mine in 34 days. Wish me luck :). Failed my first time by like 4 marks :(
Hope you've passed it by now brother :)
Ah I’m dreading my test tomorrow
Ahhh have my theory test today
Update: I Passed✨
What's the best app to download to help study for the theory test in Northern Ireland, UK.
On my way to mine now. Barely been able to revise. Up at 6am snd then back at 7/8pm, always tired then bed at 10pm so I can wake up early to get get work
How it go
Thanks a lot!
The 1m per 1mph is pretty good.
At 30mph based on the 2 second rule, that's 26.6667 m, which is near enough to 30mph.
I doubt they are gonna make you calculate it exactly, so the rule is good enough, its only 12.5% over estimated.
Thank you man!
I have my theory test on Monday I hate revising hope this helps ffs
Did you pass
Same i have mine Monday
Life saver ❤️
two way one the sign with arrows pointing up & down actually means the dual carrageway has ended & is now a two way road

Rebecca Clark congrats I have mine tomorrow what were the questions all about and how easy is the hazard part I want to know
On my first theory I passed my hazard perception 47 and on multiple questions I got 42 SO I failed for one mark.
Second time I got 45/50 the questions and failed hazard perception for 1 point AGAIN
Have my 3rd one tomorrow wish me luck 😭
