- Whorneyside force is possibly my favourite wild swimming spot in the Lake District. It is often very quiet as its a little out of the way. This is a beautiful valley and a much less visited spot than Dungeon ghyll force on the opposite side.
I parked in a lay-by on the road just down from The Dungeon Ghyll Hotel but if this is full, there's a larger national trust car park further up.

The waterfall looks amazing! I seen it from a distance when Ive walked passed it up to the higher waterfall with the boulder perched at the bottom and then onto Hell Gill. You are so brave getting in the pool in those conditions. I think Id be having a heart attack 😯 Good info regarding getting to the fall. Its doesnt seem as straightforward as it looks

Dear Char, a great landscape and great waterfalls! I love ❤it when the summits are still a bit in the fog, there is a clear view in the valley. It has something magical for me 😊 Conversely, it is also nice, but only when you are on the summit. The dip must have been wonderful. Thank you for sharing the video 🤗

Yessss watkin will always be one of my favourites!! And yes I’ve been to the infinity pool.. very pretty!
@barefoot_ventures I think I prefer watkin when the weather isn't so good, it gets so busy if its hot 😳
