- So I decided to go back and play Jin on Tekken 8 I have not played him since I completed the story mode. but I'm back and going to be playing Jin for a while and getting somewhat decent with him. I love Reina but I need to learn other characters and how they function. I couldn't help myself and had to make this kaneki fit tell me what y'all think below. still learning Tekken and having fun i just hope they fix it soon because it too much going on.

Do take advantage of the replay system. It's a game changer. Also, the punish training. Wish i had that back in my Tekken Revolution days lol.
Frame data is pretty simple, though extensive. Learning the most common moves, though, will help you have a very good guessing game for all characters, ykwim? Basically, every slow LOW moves are launch punishable, and the mid/high launcher are all punishable. Most d/f 2 and hopkicks are -13, wish you can punish with Jin d/f 1, 4 (which wall splats... in other words, if you punish the guy on the wall, you get a full combo on the wall).
I saw a bit of your gameplay. Every time you pick up a character, watch a little guide, something that shows mixups, punishers, frame traps. For example, if you hit the guy with an electric and spam 4, you'll hit them EVERY SINGLE TIME. Everyone falls for that. This is one of the tricks you can learn and they are ruthless.
Remember that Jin is a mid range king, so you should take advantage of that.
Eddy is a very annoying character, i saw you have some problems with him i used to have. Most Eddy players spam that 3 hit string, when they go on a handstand... YOU CAN DUCK THE SECOND HIT, and they get f'd HARD when you do that shit. Also, if for some reason you don't duck the second hit, YOU CAN JUST DO D 3+4 WITH JIN, they love spamming buttons after that string. Trust.
Main takeaway, watch your replay to see what you could have done (the game shows you how to punish on the replay), and learn you main mixups/frame traps/punishers. The punish training is a good way to take a deep breath after some hard losses to a specific annoying character. Put it on normal first.
