      Hi Jared.
When mf assist zooming, the touch controls to move the focus point reverse. I mean whether im at 5x or 10x when dragging right, focus point moves to left, same for up and down. Contrary when no mf assist zooming. Have you check it out?
Also, ive experienced that configuring exposure simulation off + spot metering, confused me so much while looking through evf. It was kind of counterintuitive.

I Am a retired Computer Guy who did news photography in college for the A.P. I used my Canon F1 , beat the crap out of it and made mula! I am finally taking a dive into serious gear again .. (Got lazy with my iPhone) and this was a fantastic video. I of course understand all the nitty gritty, but you have saved me hours of time figuring out the menus. Thank you!

I’ve had my camera for a year and haven’t had it off auto, still going through the manual trying to figure everything out. Being dyslexic makes it very tough to understand all the information, I give up and just go back to auto. One hour watching this video and OMG I get it. Thank You so much, I recommend everyone that gets this camera to save yourself some time, frustration and check this out.

Lens aberration correction... You might want to recommend that people using 3rd party EF mount lenses disable Peripheral Illumination Correction. Took me awhile to realize that having it enabled will cause vignetting and other strange phenomena to occur on certain lenses. Happens with my Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8. See page 124 in the users guide.

I had my mind made on taking my eos rp back to the store until I saw this video. My pics were coming out too bright (too much exposure) or too dark. I learnned a lot of good tips on this video. For example the option to see the effect of my changes to ISO, etc on the evf on real time. I got mine on manual now and program the customizable buttons to change ISO, aperture and ISO and it works great.

Just an FYI, the 1.6 crop is useful when using the EF adapter with non Canon EF and EF-S lenses, otherwise (at least with a Tamron 18-270 you can see the edges of the barrel of the lens while in full mode. And with Canon lenses, it automatically changes to 1.6 crop (at least with my EFS 55-270)

At 15:30ff, Jared attaches a Mount Adapter EF-EOS R to his RP, and then attaches an EF lens to the adapter. Canon now recommends the reverse sequence: first attach the EF lens to the adapter, and then attach the combination to the RP (or other R-series camera).

Hi guys, the VF display format [at 40:46] is there to set black background of the EVF icons on the left, right and top borders. If you switch to "display 2" and then see EVF you'll see the difference. Some find these semi-transparent icons to be distracting when composing so this is the way how to make picture a bit smaller and still have all the icons.

Outstanding info and instructional video, it came in real Handy. I had my camera in my hands the whole time. A couple quick suggestions. If you download the advanced user guide instruction manual using the QR code you will get a in-depth Manual of everything that you need to know more so than the paper version you received with your camera. I notice when you are using the EF lenses you'll get a little less battery time due to the fact that when using your autofocus and your image stabilizer it pulls a little bit more juice. Great instructional class.. Oh I put this video in my save folder also for future uses. Anthony. Inglewood, California. 🐢📷🐢📷🐢📷🇺🇸

very helpful, I never could get my head around with the preset dial settings, Jared explained it really well. finally, I understood the TV and AV as well. I connected my news channel to TV... :)
