You should remove some ink with a syringe from the top, as much as you can. There is too much ink. When you refill you should stop as soon as you see the sponge is starting to fill.
@@mihailelea Thank you. I wish to see how it looks like inside. Do you have maybe such a video? How it is build? They say don't demage inside but first it is needed to see what don't demage. I didn't do that jet. I have HP 2720. Hp305 ink.
Hi dear. I refilled my cartridge this way but now colors are mixed. Blue sometimes come as blue-greenish, yellow as orange etc etc.. Sometimes only one color prints and where other colors are supposed to be they appear just blank. When i try to fill magenta color, it immediately leaks through print head.. Do you know what is causing this? I wanted to disassemble cartridge to clean the sponges but I'm not sure how to disassemble it. I tried to pry off the top with knife but it doesn't work, do you know if this HP 305 cartridge is maybe sealed??
I think you put too much ink in one of the colors and it leaked in other ones. Now you should try to remove as much ink as you can from each color with the syringe. Use different syringe for each color. But I'm afraid that once the colors are mixed in the sponge you will never get the right colors again. If there is too much ink it immediately leaks through the printhead. You should try to remove as much ink as you can with the syringe. And when you refill it you should stop immediately when you see the sponge filled. Don't try to add more ink once the sponge is full. If you really want to disassemble the cartride know that the top cover is very strongly glued to the rest of the cartride, but if you insist with a knife it should come off.
I removed ink with syringe but again when I try to fill magenta as little as like 0,1 ml it immediately leaks just as before.. Now I want to ask could a reason of this leaking be that I maybe have put the needle too far when I tried to refill it first time so that way I damaged something inside cartridge?
@@abdullah22112 If you damage the filter at the bottom, your cartridge is useless. But if it is just normal leakage, it is okay. Every cartridge will leak when being refilled. As the ink spreads across the sponge. some will come out of the bottom due to gravity. No need to worry about minor leakage. But if 50% of the ink you are willing is being leaked, you have damaged the filter and now you have to replace the cartridge
HP will not disable cartridges as it is against the law unless you are part of Smart ink subscription program. The low ink warning can be ignored as it causes no harm
I bought an HP Envy 6000 and didn't want to pay crazy prices for ink cartiridge replacements. So I started refilling the cartridges as shown in the video. Unfortunately, HP recognised that I had refilled the cartridges and warned me that continuing would invalidate warranty. Now the print is really bad and can't print anything in colour or black!! Moral that I've learned - only buy an HP printer if you can afford to pay for HP ink cartridge replacements! I'm off to buy a canon!
Yes, I agree, Canon is much more "refill friendly" than Hp. Maybe not as easy to refill because you have to drill a hole into the cartride, but definitely not as sensitive as Hp cartridges. Canon also has the Stop/Reset button which you have to hold for 5 seconds after you refill a cartridge for the first time. Anyway, no ink cartridge can be refilled for ever, after a number of refills you will have to buy a new one, no matter if it's Hp, Canon or anything else.
This was very helpful, thanks.
Does the chip need to be reset?
No. You can't reset anything.
Hello, my cartridge printhead flows much ink after I refilled it. Whenever I print the ink is smudging at the paper. What do you think should I do?
You should remove some ink with a syringe from the top, as much as you can. There is too much ink. When you refill you should stop as soon as you see the sponge is starting to fill.
How to recognize which whole which colour?
Watch the video. It's pretty clear. Also, if you look closely at each sponge in each hole you can see a bit of colour.

How many mL per color need to refill?
About 2ml / color
