Awesome video, my gf started watching with me in 2020 and we have now been to the last 3 WrestleManias including 40. What an amazing event, we both lost our voices for a few days. Great video. Hope to see more from you
Punk got me INTO wwe in 2011. I never really watched every week, but I always knew what was going on. The judgment day got me back into it same with Cody and the BL. I’ve been watching every week, and it’s been sooooooo fun. The triple h era was perfect for me to get back into it. The ride we went on with BL civil war, we want Cody, Rhea and dom, the final boss. It’s been a fun fun ride. Can’t wait to see what’s next, but welcome to wwe and being a fan again.
I was a massive fan drom 06 to 09, i also did wrestling matches with my brother and my friends. I returned this year around mania, all the Rock talk peaked my curiosity, i watched and 3 months later im back, subs to WWE Network, watched every single show since 2020 and im not hooked again.
Was a huge fan during the Attitude Era fell out of love with the WWE product when they started the PG era but still paid attention to the indie and NJPW scene but fell back in love with NXT and AEW and never looked back welcome back to the crew my friend we are happy your here
My first WWE event was here in Melbourne in 2002, for the Global Warning tour. Since then I've had the pleasure of going to many WWE events here and in the US. But Perth was special. Rhea in the mainevent, the general hype around it because of how good WWE is now. I felt like Elimination Chamber was one giant school holiday camp, we all came accross the country together for this, made new friends, ran into old friends etc. I took the last flight out Perth and Rhea's family were also there waiting to board their flight. People were congratulating them, telling them how good their daughter did. It reminded me of like a school play and afterwards everyone is telling the parents of the lead how well she performed. It was a very apropo thing to see before I flew home. A beautiful moment I'm happy to witnessed.
Dude same here. I watched very casually in middle school so I have a little reference but then my college roommates had me watch Sami Vs. Roman with them at elimination chamber before WM 39 and I’ve been hooked since. So I’m just trying to keep up and learn it all now. It’s a great community!
That would have been an awesome place to start from! I felt that there was a slim chance at that point he was going to win! Glad to be apart of this community!
@@BobCigarWrestling same here. I didn’t know much of who Sami was but I was bought in by the end! 😂 I hear I came in at the best time which I can see now
Im on a similar journey funnily enough. Liked it as a kid in the 90s, made fun of it through my teens and early years, and then here we are watching. Hearing all the crazy bts stories and inspiring biographies got me back in. Wrestlers work so hard and love their fans so much its hard not to appreciate what they do.
I love hearing your story of reconnecting with wrestling. I can relate a bit as a kid my brother and I loved it. We’d watch it every week and play all the video games growing up on top of wrestling each other lol. Some of the best childhood memories. I was a super fan as a child but once I turned 13 I had moved and trying to adjust to middle school and a new state and just having less and less TV time I stopped watching. Only checking in here and there every few years. Fast forward to a few weeks before SummerSlam 2022. I have an even younger brother around 9 and I had no idea how to get him invested in anything other than his IPad/ phone and one day wouldn’t you know it wrestling was on TV and he was hooked. It became something we could bond over and we were blessed that SummerSlam 2022 was going to be in our city. I got him and I tickets and all over I was hooked again and felt nostalgia with childhood acts like Lesnar, Lashley, Rey Mysterio and Edge. It was amazing. And as a big football fan it was crazy even seeing Pat McAfee in a match and being involved with WWE. I’ve been watching every week ever since and even got Peacock to check out shows I missed like NXT starting from 2012, NXT UK and 205 Live to help get me invested into the stars we have today even more. Wrestling is truly one of the greatest forms of entertainment and I’m happy to see it becoming more and more popular again.
Very well made great video and i believe there are ao many people that came back to the sport lkke you did at possibly one of the best times ever! I loved hearing about your journey it made me remember my feelings of how this was going for the longest time
Funnily enough i got into WWE and wrestling as whole around a similar time to you it was during the pandemic i had nothing to watch so i gave Wrestlemania 36 a watch and i remember seeing 2 matches Bray Wyatt vs John Cena and Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins and those 4 men in those to matches got me hooked
@@BobCigarWrestling yes it is the no fans mania I'd recommend the firefly fun house match (bray vs cena) and the boneyard match (AJ Styles Vs The Undertaker) the rest of the show is difficult to watch now for me at least with the lack of fans in attendance because it just feels very strange now that I've been watching wrestling with an audience for basically 3 years
@@BobCigarWrestling yeah it did suck that the undertaker had to retire in front of no one but at least his final match was memorable for the right reasons
Lovely story. I've been a fan since 2008. There's been moments where I almost left but something always kept me here. And I'm glad I never caved because I've been able to see lots of amazing things and go to amazing shows such as NXT TakeOver Toronto, Elimination Chamber in Montreal and Survivor Series in Chicago last year, WrestleMania 40 (I took my mom to this one and it was such a wonderful experience). And this summer in my hometown of Toronto I'm going to Money in the Bank.
I’ve been watching wrestling 2011 when I was 7 years old my first ppv I watched was cm punk vs John cena money in the bank I’ve been watching for about 12 years 😁💯 Then started watching other wrestling promotions like tna but only because of AJ Styles and the main event mafia storyline and NJPW as well as WWE
@@BobCigarWrestling I have two my favourite era is most definitely when the shield breaking up because I was so shocked and the rivalry with cm punk and John cena Cm punk was and still is my favourite wrestler to this day
@@BobCigarWrestling that’s cool bro I hope you blow up on your channel Just keep putting out more content even tho you’re a new fan of the wwe you’re still entitled to your opinion and beware of the Marks 😁✌️
its crazy to say now but im technically an old school fan from the ruthless aggression era since i watched in high school and dropped off of it in 2008 and getting back into wrestling this year feels similar to that. that said, I recommend hell in a cell undertaker and mankind, and undertaker vs jeff hardy title ladder match right off the top of my head. 1998 and 2003, respectively
Firstly, thanks for watching! I also watched a little bit back in high school around 2008. Totally agree that it feels similar in the hype right now but also fresh and exciting. I have watched Taker vs Mankind Hell in a Cell soooo many times. Truly a marvel to watch. I will check out the Jeff Hardy Vs Taker Match.
Imagine the balls on WWE and Triple H to build up this Story to the biggest show in their business in Mania 39. Promise this huge payoff and then intentionally decide to leave the fans disappointed. and yet the payoff to that disappointment shows that they made the right call. smh.
At this moment, with Hollywood as shit as it is, has been and for the foreseeable future, will be. Pro Wrestling, specifically WWE is the best form of entertainment to me going forward. the only exception I would give is to video games.
Just gonna say, you made me teary eyed with this bro. Welcome back tp wrestling!
