I've discovered a really good counter against 2nd phase Kuroki. I've seen a lot of people fighting her on master difficulty and nobody has used it yet. When she runs towards you for a combo, set up a flowing claw stance and then crotch punch her when she's close. This will stun her so hard that you can throw or push her and follow up with a chasing trip kick. It's low risk and lets you take chunks off her health bar very quickly. Another tip is to not throw back her kunai immediately. Hold on to them and wait for her to run in, then throw it into her face to stun her and follow up with a throw or push + trip kick.

Late the party, but I just figured this out as well and you don't even need crotch punch, you can simply do the ducking punch forward which has more range and stuns her all the same. Also in case you missed, you can just smack her with intercepting hook to interrupt her combo while blocking. Hilarious!
@@ChristianMeyer I also figured out about using ducking punch instead, but if you still do flowing claw beforehand and then input palm strike after, it turns into an elbow - spinning back kick combo. intercepting hook is a golden tip though thank you!
@@Djisso yeah,with the staff basic heavy comb you can stop her while she runs at you and do more damage to her structure, or if you party her correctly and hit her with the staff in hand you do more damage to her structure.
@@MrPsychopathicManiac just have at least level 2 of party impact from the shrine and level 2 of weapon damage from the shrine and get the staff,then avoid all other attacks and whenever she does the spinning attack towards you just parry all those hits and her structure will go up hella fast and just continue doing that whenever she does that move and you'll get through her first phase with no deaths.
Kuroki phase 1 has never been a problem for me. I just take the staff for Sean's disciple and parry/guard all the way. The phase 2 tho, got my ass kicked constantly by that notorious sweep into infinite kunai throw combo. Tried so hard to guess the jump kick/sweep mix up, but then I saw your video. Damn... that couch punch interruption strat worked so beautifully. Thanks!
Poor Kuroki - she is now the easiest master level boss now because she was on the tougher end for normal and they didn't buff her as much as the others. With a staff you don't even need to attack her phase 1, just parry til her structure breaks. Then phase 2 staff poke/crotch punch when she charges you and weapon catch & throw her knives back when she jumps. Even Sean can kill me more times than her now 😂
Even without the staff, it comes down to her still being super predictable since you can cut her combos off, whereas I’ve died to Sean because the stage makes screws up my camera…maybe the camera is the true hardest boss 😂

On my first blind play through (on Disciple) Kuroki was the only boss to outright kill me forcing me to restart the level, her first phase attacks are very difficult to read wether their high or low and the startups look quite similar. Her second phase was much easier, but can still catch you if you aren’t locked in. However, once I moved on to a master play through, I didn’t find her to be much more difficult. Her first phase is just different, not really any more difficult. And her second is only marginally different. Yes, she has a sweep that she’ll mix up her combos with, but as you showed in the video, you can just interrupt her before she gets up to you. Overall I think her changes were more of a lateral move rather than being a noticeable upgrade or downgrade.

You can't spare her like this, if you interrupt her combo you will take too much life and won't be able to break her structure twice before beating her. On Master the combo has random elements wich make it very hard, but not impossible to handle. Her first attack when she runs towards you is always the same, parry it! Her second attack is always mid or high, dodge it! Most of the times she won't follow up and you can punish her after the dodge and hurt her structure more. The rest I fully agree.
I swear to god they added more combos to her since you made this video... Like I'm trying to look out for the combos that you showed me the video and I am seeing them but it also seems like they switch the orientation of them. Like it genuinely feels like some attacks that should be low are high and some attacks that are high are now low.
Haha it feels dangerous and not worth it at first but I can Assure you, the moment you actually start doing it and master it, you will never stop doing it

Unfortunately no other move will allow you to jump over a sweep 😓. You can stick to dodging the Lows and Using Duck Strike (Hold Punch) instead of crotch punch if you feel more comfortable with that
The thing is, getting used to using Snap Kick and Crotch punch are going to be useful against every body in the game, not just Kuroki And why are they not appropriate ?

It's the opposite for me. Her first phase kicks my ass but I can do her second phase almost flawlessly.
I started at the Museum when I was 28 and finished when I was 62.
First time I went to the museum, I got out at age 75 😭
I think you can tell her dash move by her starting posture
11:58, fake dash, she spinned the kunai
13:40, straight dash, she didn't spin the kunai
you can interrupt her chasing windmill attack with a well timed charged backfist, its hard to do but its very satisfying
