I’m sorry about your frustration but it really was a straightforward, just screw everything together, assembly. I’ll be honest, I’m a little 💔 But your problems started when you used the 2" screws where the 1" screws go.
Yeah, he's not too handy. When I saw him using a power drill to put that thin piece together, I knew it couldn't turn out well. Sorry your design wasn't showcased in a favorable way.
Regarding who wants the in-bed Switch holder, it could be useful for people who are confined to a bed for some reason (so long as they have someone else to assemble it for them). Potentially good for accessibility.
Hey Wood, I recommend that you put the screws in with a screwdriver instead of a powered drill. At the very least start them in by hand. Another thing you can do is turn down the torque setting on your cordless drill down so you don't break off the screw heads.

I’m really hoping you get to read this because that cable thingy on that ANCH custom dock can be connected to the type c male connector on the official dock which will act as a cable extender so that the Switch can still be played on docked mode while on the custom island. Been doing that since 2017.
I work in lightning and one of the ways I check if an engine works is to turn it on without the cover it’s like holding a miniature sun so I understand what you mean with those signs
On that Animal Crossing dock it looks like someone literally took one of those weird extender attachments you can get for cheap on amazon and then plug directly into the actual switch dock. It's a dock for a dock.
